How does your game fit the theme?
Reincarnation is the definition of “an end is a new beginning”. Our game lets you play judge in a world between the passed and the afterlife to judge spirits based on past memories. But as the mystery about your bossly figure plays out, this might not be the only end to a new beginning…
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?

Very interesting take on the theme!
The design is great, and some of the ghosts' description are hilarious! I enjoyed the fact that there is a deep story behind it, with alternatives depending on your playthrough. It is very impressive considering the small amount of time to developp the game!
As you stated on the description, I had trouble reading some descriptions because of the spam, i worked around by taking a screenshot and read from there :)
Oh wow! That is really clever of you.
Loved the art and music for this one, clearly a labor of love to have produced in only a week. I loved the vaguely bureaucratic jazziness of the soundtrack. Appropriate for an infernal magistracy.
I enjoyed learning about the ghosts. A very inspired choice to include multiple time periods' dead. I desperately wish there were some consequence to judging them one way vs. another beyond the counts on either side, a "Papers Please"-style process of inferring from the documentation what you ought to do. I get that that perhaps wasn't the point though!
Boss's dialogue is good and although it is disappointing that your biggest choice results in different end screens vs. an actual difference to your run (I assume they just ran out of time), how closely you hew to boss's rules produces 2 totally distinct sets of dialogue conveying the same information. This is a high level of investment on the part of the writer, for a game jam piece!
One sore point is that because of text size and mouseover issues I had a tough time actually playing this game, purely technically. Even using the executable, it became necessary to lower my resolution to read the game's text, which is where most of its action is. Even with the lower res and the exe, I still had extreme problems keeping a ghost's profile in view using my mouse long enough to read. Oh well, technical difficulties are expected on a short timeframe.
Thank you for your in depth review of our game. And thank you for understanding the challenge of creating a game in such a short period of time. We really appreciate it!
Amazing art and graphics, and interesting concept! The ghosts' stories were fun to read and it was unique getting to pass judgement on their souls. Would love to play more levels especially if the card bug is fixed!
This was really neat! I loved the art and all the little stories. Unfortunately the cards would bug out a lot, which made reading the descriptions and stories rather frustrating (to the point where I couldn't complete the game).
Suggestions:
Perhaps make the ghosts halt their movement entirely when hovering over them, or have the player pick them up and hold them to read the cards. Or, perhaps you right click a ghost to toggle view of cards, and left click to pick them up.
(I tried both web gl and downloadable versions and had issues, and I did notice you mentioned the bugs in your page - so my rating does not take the bugs into account).
Overall, very cool game! If you can fix the bugs post jam, I'd love to give it another go and complete it as the story had me intrigued! :)
Neat game, well written story. I really enjoyed how immersive it is when you have to make decisions based on morality, quite a feat for a game jam!
I love the game! It reminds me of Death and Taxes! Solid art, nice music and sounds and a pretty fun game to play in voice chat with friends!
The art for this game is absolutely stunning! Well done!
Rated! very nice game, I really like the graphics and the audio. Good work on your whole team!
Try our game as well if you want and give us some feedback! :D
I love the art and music of this game. 10/10 on those fronts. The story was also pretty mysterious and interesting!
Though, in my experience, the game was a bit buggy. I read the warning about spirit hitboxes on WebGL so I downloaded the Windows version and I'm not sure if this is what you meant by the hitboxes issue or not, but sometimes I just couldn't drag them and sometimes I'd be reading one spirit's information and it'd disappear immediately.
But apart from that, this is a solid entry! I'd love to actually see this made into a full Steam release. Even further expand on the lore of The Great Work. 👀
Liked the concept and very pleasing art
Love it!
I liked that. Like supernatural Papers Please.
Really cute game, and easy to understand what you have to do!
Really nice art and pretty fun! Great job!
I liked the art, and the dialogues were well written
Besides the known cards bug I really enjoyed the game! The art and narrative were amazing, I had a lot of fun reading some of the memories and the overall story was good. Didn't find out if which soul you send where plays a role or only the scale balance.
I ended up destroying the scale... F**k scales.
I really enjoyed how the game reacted to my decisions and the message about just being a cog. I also think I may be the villain and that was a valid way to play. Loved the art.
very cute and unique game! i was a bit buggy smetimes for me but i enjoyed the visuals!!
Amazing game the art, music and especially the story is amazing. sadly there was this thing where the info cards where a bit buggy. but besides that it was an amazing game.
great job, keep it up ♥
The art is super nice, I like the color scheme! The take on the theme is thought-out, too.
