How does your game fit the theme?
players have 1 min to figure out the puzzle to light the torch, after a minute the level resets and the players need to use what they have learned to complete the puzzle.
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
i used tutorials for the day night cycle but most of the code I made.
i made all the assets, and music

Nice game! Really like puzzle games like this, but I really wish the timer was a bit more forgiving, but great job overall!
Loved the concept! Until the end, where I had some issues with the grapple hook(?), I never had a respawn where I felt like I hadn't learned anything. Good job on hiding all those steps!
i did have trouble making the grappling hook and its still quite broken but thanks for playing
That was wild! The progression was great, and once you finally figure everything out and properly execute it, you feel amazing. Only thing I could recommend is maybe a little screens hake to let the player know a door has been opened. Other than that though, seriously, outstanding job!
thanks for playing, really appreciate the comments. I definitely forgot to add some game feel in my game so ill look out for that.
Pretty good set of puzzles! I feel like the 1 minute timer was just a bit too tight, but other than that, I enjoyed it. Great work!
thanks for playing
Cool puzzle game! Kind of reminds me of outer wilds, where you have to use what you learn to progress.
yeah that was the inspiration for the game. thanks for playing the game
Simple, Difficult yet Addicting Puzzle-ish Game, I like it!
10/10, Would Highly Recommend
Great game bro! and the music was dope!
thanks man
Interesting game, I really like the music!
Thank you
Whoa, that was hard... Not in terms of the puzzle, but getting everything done in time)
A very simple, in some ways obvious idea, but I loved it! I hope other people don't miss this game either!
Thanks for playing. I'm glad you were able to figure out the puzzle as I made it quite confusing. (Not on purpose)
I really enjoyed this game! A simple, yet satisfying puzzle speedrunner game. The music was also perfect for the looming darkness. I definitely agree with the feedback from velvetanonblue, but in addition, maybe having the end goal immediately visible from either the starting area or immediately after would make for better level design. There's some cool stuff online about Open World level design that utilise this a lot to focus the player's goals. Great work! I enjoyed beating this challenge!
yeah, i definitely am working on my level design's. probably one of the hardest things for me is coming up with a good level. Thanks for playing, im glad you enjoyed the music.
Music is good. I'm not really a big fun of puzzle but I enjoy my time playing it. I had fun playing with the rocks physics.
thanks, it was hard to create music that fit in game so i appreciate it.
great game bro
check mine
thanks, will do
Nicely done! kinda confusing the physics but you can get it rather quickly.
thanks for playing
I find it a little to hard for me, maybe some hints here and there would be nice I struggle quite abit for finding out where to get to. .
Perhaps its just not my kind of game.
I have realised that i could use techniques to help guide players through the level so it is my fault that it is confusing. Thanks for playing
Really nice game design! I found it fun to try and get the optimal route and solve the puzzle. Adding the "Use what you've learned" part in really helped convey to me what this game was about early on. I think if you iterate over this game loop it could become something really great.
Some feedback:
Being able to jump inside the yellow well would be nice. Found myself getting stuck inside sometimes and that'd ruin my run.
I believe the game should just have sprint on by default. There's not really a downside to moving faster I found so I was just holding down sprint the entire time. I think instead it should be balanced for the player to just move at that speed all the time. (maybe a tiny bit slower and adjust the time limit for it?)
There should be a reset box if you fall off the map though I'm sure you'll add that eventually.
Having the ball holding spot being offset to the left or down away from the center of the screen would help with those time when you've gotta shoot targets while holding a ball. Instead of trying to guess where the target is behind the ball.
Overall really good progress keep it up :D
Thanks for the feedback, those are really good ideas that i didn't think of. Thanks for playing
Nice submission! As others have said, it was a bit too difficult because of the time constraint. But I really did enjoy the gameplay a lot until a certain point where I kept running out of time at the same part of the puzzle. Overall great job!
Yeah, ill watch out for that in future projects. Thanks for playing
Great game! It took me some time to find the right clues at the start but I figured it out then... The time you had before the restart was a bit short in my opinion... You could have made that the player regains some time after solving a puzzle... Good Job!
ah yeah thats a good suggestion, i didn't think about that. I guess since i was the only one that playtested it i thought the time was fine but since i already knew the puzzle it probably clouded my judgment. (this is why you need others to playtest) . Thanks for playing though appreciate it.
Good job! The player movement was good for the fps style. I think the game was overall too difficult. It was hard to tell where to go a lot of the times and with time based "know the map" type games like this it is important to guide the player a bit. Here is a great article describing different ways to guide the player https://gamedevacademy.org/guide-players-game-design-tutorial/
oh interesting, reading through it i can see some stuff i couldv'e added to make it a more guided experience. My inspiration for the game was Outer Wilds which i dont remember if they had added aspects that guided the player, guess i gotta play it again. Thanks for the article it'll come in handy.
Cool game, I think It was a bit confusing but I liked the idea and the grabbing mechanic although it was a bit buggy and I could grab things through walls, the music really suits the game and the graphics are cool
yeah, had trouble with the grabbing mechanic, its only after the game jam when i thought of possible solutions to turn off certain colliders or collision detections in the physic settings. Thanks for playing
