How does your game fit the theme?
Reaching the portal at the end of the level will result in the level rotating, finding you needing to complete it again. Thus beginning anew after the end.
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
All of the code is my own, most of the assets are free (credited) or owned (credited)

Whoa, that is so cool I love the flipping mechanic, that is really interesting! Also, the fact that enemies stay dead is nice (maybe a little too rewarding sometimes). Also I love turtles. The snow particle effect in the background was a nice touch. One specific complaint is how in level 3 there is a wall of spikes at the end of a hallway of saws, I got mad at that wall of spikes. But the best thing about it was how polished and well-rounded the game turned out! Good job.
Thank you very much for the feedback and for playing the game! If it makes you feel any better my wife and son were also very mad at that wall lol.
Amazing work! I liked how this game looks, it's very cool with a cooler concept
There's some points i want to highlight:
Knockback is too strong, atleast for me, sometimes when I get hit I fall in the spikes and need to start again, it's frustrating
The blades looks cool, but it's a bit slow
Some hitboxes are bigger than I though, it make some jumps harder than expected
Despite that I liked it a lot, I know you worked hard on it, i keep it up! :D
Thank you for the feedback, I really appreciate it! I do agree there were some wonky things with the colliders that I didn't get to fully work out and the blades are definitely a point of contention lol. The knockback I think is a problem with the way the physics are calculated (especially when moving) since it is a multiplicative force. I will definitely notate all of this in my developer journal and learn from it. Thank you!
Great platformer with tight controls, amazing level design that fits the theme and spot on graphics and audio. Nothing short of an amazing game!
Thank you so much! I really appreciate the feed back and you playing my game!
Nice platformer, I enjoyed the rotating level mechanic! Great visuals and sound!
Minor critiques:
Never been a fan of platforming levels that require the player to jump up through a gap the size of the player - this has always been more frustrating than challenging.
Someone else mentioned the saw blades slowing things down and I agree for certain levels in the game. Make the cycles flow a bit more pattern wise. I LOVE how they look and their effects though.
Designing tight platforming levels is really hard imo and I think you did a great job overall! :D
Thank you for playing and for your feedback! It is much appreciated. I am taking notes and learning from all of this and feedback like this is super helpful!
Wow a really cool but tough platformer.
I think the idea is really great that the map rotates after you complete it.
But I think that some hitboxes are a bit too unforgiving which makes the game a lot more difficult.
Thank you for playing and for the feedback! I really appreciate it! It definitely needed more time in the oven. My "playtesting" day got majorly interrupted by my wife making plans lol. Again, I appreciate you playing!
Really cool concept, making the level functional in both set up. Platforming feels really good, I'd would suggest using the buzz saws less, they stop the smooth platforming and force you to sit and wait a lot. Otherwise great work! Keep it up!
Thank you for playing and for the feedback! I really appreciate it! The buzz saws do seem to be the biggest point of contention. In hindsight I needed a little more time to adjust their timings and make the movement smoother. Thanks again!
That was pretty fun! I think it's just on my end, but I am 99% sure I got input lag or something, but people have been saying that the movement is good, so I guess my speculations are correct. Other than that, I thoroughly enjoyed playing your game!
Thank you for playing and for the feedback! I really appreciate it! Sorry you experienced input lag. That could be a WebGL thing which can be wonky.
Really nice game, was fun to play it!
Thank you for playing and for the feedback! I really appreciate it!
Great use of the theme, the amount of polish you added to the game is great
Thank you for playing and for the feedback! I really appreciate it!
Nice work overall, I enjoyed the idea of replaying the level after it spun!
Thank you for playing and for the feedback! I really appreciate it!
Nice platformer - lots of different obstacles and enemies. Great work with the UI and animations. Well done!
Thank you for playing and for the feedback! I really appreciate it!
nice paltforming !
Thank you for playing and for the feedback! I really appreciate it!
Really cool platformer! Movement feels bubbly and responsive, and neat use of the theme too!
Thank you for playing and for the feedback! I really appreciate it!
Fun little platformer. The idea of the level spinning and then you playing is upside down was a neat concept. The blades tended to be a bit annoying to wait for since its time you cant do anything in and then you might have to repeat that section multiple times if you die after it. The polish details like the pow coming up was a good touch and the addition of a save system was also great
Thank you for the feedback and for playing my game! The blades are def the biggest draw back for gameplay. I needed about two more hours to nail down their timing. Sadly I lost most of day 7 due to my wife making plans lol. Thank you again for the feedback!
Lots of great aesthetic polish here. Sprites look crisp and interesting, and the rotated levels were a nice touch. I was getting SNES Mode 7 flashbacks. :). The game got too difficult for me in the level with the "too easy" hallway.
Jumping felt good, but the attacks seemed to be slower than I was expecting for some reason, especially for a ninja. (Maybe they start with a delay, maybe they're slow overall.) Not a big deal since the game doesn't seem to require precise attacks, just wanted to mention it in case it helps.
This might be the first jam game I've played with intentional controller support (where the game explicitly acknowledges controller support). Thanks for that! Platformers are way more enjoyable to me with a controller.
I really appreciate the detailed feedback. In hindsight the attacks were a little on the slow side. I do think you are right about the delay. I set the attack up weirdly and never got it feeling perfect but had to make concessions. The game was designed for a controller because I have issues playing platformers with a keyboard lol. It does make for issues during a jam though as the keyboard controls are a bit off. Glad you appreciated that!! Again. Thank you so much for the feedback!
Awesome work on the game, nice and challenging without being too crazy!
Good take on the theme here. The controls were nice and responsive on the keyboard. Really liked the visuals and the music was very hype also :D
Really appreciate the feedback! Thank you for playing!
The rotating level was great. Platforming felt solid. Great job all around.
Thank you for playing and for the feedback! Appreciate it!
Nice game! I really liked the idea of the level rotating, I think it fits the theme pretty well! The movement also felt very nice and snappy. Nice job!
Thank you for playing and for the feedback! Much appreciated!
Really interesting idea with the level turning around! I enjoyed the levels outside of the time I had to wait for the spinning blades. Awesome visuals and audio, very polished. Overall, well done!
Thank you for playing and the feedback! Yes I agree the blades were a bit off, should have had a little more rhythm to them. Thank you again!
The effect of the level spinning is super cool, very creative execution. It's a nice and challenging platformer. Good job!
Thank you for playing and for your feedback! I appreciate it and am glad you enjoyed!
