How does your game fit the theme?
re:colonize is a puzzle city-builder about rebuilding after an apocalyptic event and, as such, fits the theme of "An End Is a New Beginning" quite well.

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
All of the code was written by me. I also created the assets and textures. The sound effects are from a collection of asset packs I have accumulated over the years, and I hold all rights to use them in this project.

The sounds and visuals are spectacular. This game is super chill and relaxing. The puzzles are unique and really cool. My only complaint is that while the old buildings being randomized each time makes the game visually interesting, it can be hard to remember where to put the new buildings because it almost feels like the levels are being completely randomized even though it's only the models that change.

But overall, this is probably my favorite game so far (I just wish it was longer :P)

Very fun and great aesthetic.

I especially enjoyed the aesthetic and models!  Fun little puzzle game!  Topography made me think of Disgaea games.  :)

Challenging game! I really liked the low resolution actually

This game must've been a lot of work to make, loved the sound design, it made me feel like I was playing SimCity. Good work, looks like someone put some effort into this.

Loved the aesthetic and vibe. As many others mentioned, you kinda have to lose your first time around (or get lucky) to see what buildings you’re working with, so that could be improved. Other than that, great submission, very polished!

Great puzzle game! It took me a little bit to grasp what I was doing, but once I did I had a lot of fun!

Nice puzzle game, only thing I would change is the resolution of the text.

Lovely puzzle game, well done!

Simple logic game.  It was nice playing it

Thank you very much!

Great game, would be nice if you could see which buildings you have to place beforehand. I think you could've incorporated the theme in the gameplay by adding buildings that you need to destroy in order to get the resources to place more advanced buildings. Or something.. I had a lot of fun playing!

It is fun to play. I love puzzles, but it would be nice to somehow show all the tiles which you can place on the current level. Also, text is too low-rez. But overall it is a solid game and I like it.

I find the sound effects really fitting.

Also graphically well done.

Really great puzzle game.

The font is a bit hard to read when rendered with so few pixels.

The puzzles themselves have a good difficulty.

Developer

Thank you for the feedback; the font was a hard decision for me as I could not find a good middle ground between the low-res game and the high-res font that looked good, so I decided to keep the low-res as the font was legible well enough for a game jam game.
