The enemies are lonely. Your job as a cupid is to show them that they are not alone. Basically you are the one that says "You're not alone" to the enemies.
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
Code, graphics and music are all made from scratch. Sound effects and fonts are not.

The audio gives makes all of the actions really good feedback, the clean art and animations lend to this. The lighting is also a great touch that build the lonely atmosphere, very fun and a great game you should be proud of!

Like the idea, gets a lot harder. The long range one just seems a bit op seeing thru wall and such :p still fun and added challenge.

The game has a stunning aesthetic and is a lot of fun to play. the animation is fluid, and the sound effects are satisfying (ngl I got spooked out when the enemies start to chase my character). kudos to the two of you! :)

wow, what a great submission. First of all, the game is polished: controls are smooth, the hitboxes are good and the animations are well done. The music is a bit underwhelming, but cute as the game intended. Tbh the whole game is so cute, graphics are awesome, and it's really fun to play. I reached the third floor and was about to kite the last couple needed to progress, but got brutally shot by the grey npc as soon as I passed a corner, sourranded by the enemies. That's how these kind of games work, they get chaotic, sometimes in a good way, sometimes not. this is one of the good ones.
Really appreciate the kind words! I gotta agree, [No whOne] did an amazing job with coding the mechanics of this game (he tends to make his games hard- I got super lucky reaching stage 5 after spending over an hour xD)! I was only able to focus all my time one the art because he took on all the coding stuff (=~=)
