How does you game fit the theme?
The main character is seemingly all alone on a lake.. but in reality They're Not Alone at all.
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
all the code yes, all the assets no. but i gave credit.

Note to myself: Don't sleep while in boats
Thanks for trying my game Deinol!
Interesting concept. The game really deep to atmosphere.
But need work about realisation. Boat flies above water when you near the dock and move very slow. Transition from lighting to row goes through character model.
Hi ancooper thanks for playing the game and the feedback. I think you’re right, each of those area areas for improvement!
The idea is fun, and really like the games atmosphere. I will say I never so anything happening and I actorly believe I was alone. But any way a pretty scarry little jam game.
Hey thanks for playing. You think you were alone? Did you shine the light around--if so, you didn't see it? :o
I flashed the light around a lot, but I did never so anything. I sometimes heard a sound clip indicating that I should have see something something, but I did never see anything. I always heard the sound clip just after I turned on the flash little.
Good job, Too bad I died of a heart attack... :) Great game!
Thank you for trying my game :)
I’m really impressed with the polish. It feels very cinematic, the voice acting is great and a lot of the scene looks photorealistic. It feels eerie in a way that reminds you of being freaked out by dumb stuff as a kid.
I’m not sure what happened for me, but I kept getting all the way to some point very close to the dock and then the boat would stop still and I couldn’t row any closer. Not sure if that was a bug or something that I was doing wrong, but still enjoyed this a lot.
Great job on this, thanks for sharing. My game is linked below if you want to check it out.
Edit: Replayed this again, and I actually did manage to get to the end. I think I maybe you just slow down a lot as time goes on? I was moving near the end.
Nathan thank you for playing my game and the fantastic feedback. You're spot on, I introduced a LERP-related bug right before the deadline and had to accept submitting the game with the bug due to lack of time. Unfortunately each time you row it recalculates distance and the amount of time it should take to arrive at the dock--and the bug is that the closer you get the slower the boat moves.. all due to an attempt to make the game last longer than the ~20 second experience it was initially.
I'll try your game. Thanks again.
Nice atmosphere! While I am expecting something special to happen, but nothing is going to happen. Anyway, good job!
Hi Wendyhu, thanks for trying my game. I did cut some aspects that I think would have given you that special "wow" moment due to time constraints. :)
The water and animations are stunning, great job! She's clearly got a dicky ticker tho.
Hahaha her heart can't take the fear :D
I like the concept.
Thanks JoeJoe, it wasn't realized entirely as envisioned, but sometimes that' s how jams go.
i got to the shore the first time without dying! but i don’t dare to go on the water again…
Haha. :) Thanks for trying my game Laxersaz
Good job on the atmosphere! The addition of voice acting was actually really great!
Thanks! My oldest daughter came through clutch for this project :)
Great game :) Really creepy :o
Thanks for giving it a try Gold356 :)
Great atmosphere! Also had a few problems looking with the mouse - but maybe it just adds to the creepiness!
Thanks for playing AnnaAD! the mouse got a little wonky during WebGL build, not sure why.
What happens when you don't make it?
Here's mine: https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-8/rate/1675396
Hi JoshProxy, did you lose and find out? (Hint, just don't pull out the flashlight so fast)... but tldr--less than I wanted due to scope cutting.
Nice first person perspective :)
Thanks for giving it a try TD GO
Really nice graphics!
Not sure if it's just me, but the "aim" of the mouse was very jumpy, otherwise good job!
That is great feedback. The mouse was much more sensitive and jumpy in the webGL build. Thanks for playing!
The atmosphere is definetely there, though I didn't really see the actual monster, or whatever it was supposed to be. I guess I was really lucky to get to the end without dying. Nice job!
Heh.. silly me left the monster for later on and it got scope cut. Anyway, there is a way to lose (try not shining the light so often). Thanks for trying it!
The game gave me some nice fealings, great graphics too, nicejob!
much of it was assets, I just tied them together. I’m glad it made you feel something!
The atmosphere is really good, nice job!!
Thanks for trying my game!
Nice game. I really like the audio, narration and the animation. It was a bit hard to understand how you died and if you could prevent it. Every time I came close to the dock I just died.
thanks for the feedback bostarai, I should have given a better indication. When the girl says, “I think it’s getting closer” is a signal to whip out your flashlight!
I think the audio was really good in this! I played the first time and survived. I then played again to test if you could die and can confirm you can die :P
Thanks for playing! I’ll give yours a try, too!
