Good, but it requires polishing and juice. A good concept and dialogues.

How does you game fit the theme?
As you explore the cave, you will meet a friendly ghost who will help you leave the cave.
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
Yes, all the code, assets and music was made from scratch. I wrote most of the code alone but got some help from tutorials and open source codes.

Awesome job on the clean graphics! the movement felt really satisfying and the wall jumping was satisfying. It could get a bit tricky but good job!
I always love metroidvanias. The wall jumping was neat for a starting ability. The jumping its self felt a bit "floaty"; your character doesn't fall very fast but they do move very fast side-to-side. I didn't know I couldn't wall jump on the side walls and fell all the way down to a previous checkpoint which made me have to redo that whole section again. Also, long dialogue isn't very fun. I much prefer short and to the point dialogue and to hide the tutorial behind a bunch of speech from characters I'm not particularly invested in, is a bit annoying.
Overall though, you made a nice game. I saw it was your second ever so good job.
I really liked the concept of the game, making the characters work together. Also I find ghost very cute ๐
The minimalistic visuas are great.
Nice work
Fun little story driven platformer.
Pros: fun and cute interpretation of the prompt, controls are snappy and the jump feels good, cool core mechanic
Cons: the wall jump was a little janky and it killed me a lot, it would be nice if you could reset the ghost without dying, the music was a tad too repetative, the camera jerked around a lot and I ultimately couldn't finish the game because it was making me motion sick :/
The camera is a bit glitched, but overall the game is fun and has a good story :)
Usually it takes a while for good movement. Soooo how did you manage to make GREAT movement in <7 days?
Hi,
The tutorial that I used for the movement (especially for the Wall Movement) was this: https://youtu.be/adT3vSD-74Q
I added some extra stuff but the main part was from the tutorial.
Really fun! I love the movement and it felt really smooth and good to play! Placing the ghost where you want is also a great idea but I wish it was more implemented throughout (lots of just normal platforming sections). Really satisfying when you get past a difficult section! Great submission!
