Nice Game..... ☺
Nice review!
Really nice game bro. Enjoyed it.
Nice
Bueno!
Pretty good game. Its got an interesting concept and the addition of netcode is great although I cant test that part out. The space movement didn't feel the greatest due to the combination of it being slow acceleration/deceleration based and doing a 180 whenever you hit a curb. Movement with gravity on was a bit better in how it handles (though it feels a bit rigid) but it being just one direction feels like a building rather than space. Garbage collecting wasn't really the most fun thing to do but the tapes were a nice addition (although they didn't seem to be playing past the first one I collected). The graphics were nice
Thanks for the feedback. I think there is a bug that causes the tape player to get paused for some reason so if you do end up giving it another try to get some more of that story try checking the tape deck to see if it is switched to on. If not you might need to switch it on for it to continue to play. Sorry about that. As for the physics of space flight it was kind od intentional for it to spin you about as its ohysically realistic and we thought it was kind of fun that way. The rigidity of the ground movement is that way because its meant to be simulated gravity so basically no different than a normal platformer. As for garbage collecting not being fun I bet being a janitor isn't much fun either but being in space with a laser to clean messes could definitely help out there maybe. Again thanks for the feedback it helps us make better games in the future.
OMG I would die in space. It's like a carousel but I guess it's just realistic, not a bad thing :D I like the audio and graphics. Great job.
Thank you for your comments, Katatsumi!
We worked super hard on both graphics and audio -- thank you for giving that a shout-out!
This feels pretty realistic with great voice lines. Good job. This could win in the audio category.
Wow, this is amazing! It feels so realistic and trippy as if that is what space actually is! Great job on this.
The physics of weightlessness feels very real, even though I have never experienced it. When I stepped out of the hatch and got a sweeping view of the spaceship I was on, I was really impressed!
Uhh...
It took me too long to finish this game and I am left with mixed emotions.
The game started great. Nice introduction to the mechanics, as well as to the goal. when I caught up with controls, it was really easy and even funny to just clean up the mess. The game was satisfying with its gravity-changing mechanics, and I was impressed by how well were they: you felt that you were in control, even if it was a complete mess on your screen.
Then I found the first tape. I didn't understand what happened when I pick it up, because the sound was really low, but after changing it, I started getting up with it.
Tapes were slowly telling me the story. At first, I liked it, but on the third tape, I felt frustrated, because there was a lot of trash in these tapes. And I got 100% clean ship around this time, so I left with around 10 more tapes to listen to while doing nothing. This is when things went wrong.
I was jumping and spacewalking while listening to tapes, but it became frustrating soon. I was hoping, that they were guiding me to the big conclusion, and that waiting time will pay off, but, unfortunately, no.
But, even told like this, the story was interesting. I liked voice acting, and I felt the emotions that the crew was feeling. Some voices were a little bit cringy at the beginning, but then they became normal. And, also, I didn't find how this game fits the theme.
So, in conclusion:
and just the story is too long and doesn't pay off
Overall, even after the long story, I liked the game!
Tremendous feedback! Thank you, FasePlay!
Our team will consider how to close the overall game loop, so there's new, exciting stuff to do while listening to the audio tapes. Additionally, I think you've detailed a fair enough reason why there should be more closure to the story.
Additionally, we're super glad you enjoyed the flight mechanics. This game depends mainly on your ability to enjoy floating through space. We're happy you were impressed.
Thanks again; have a great day!
Thanks for the feedback. We did think about some kind of time gating thing but we didn't really have time for that, however it wasn't really considered how much mess you would need to have stuff to constantly do while listening to the tapes. Truth be told the story stuff and the general gameplay were being worked on in parallel and we didn't have a ton of integration there so we will definitely be more cognizant of that in the future thank you.
I've never had so much fun picking trash. I really liked being able to float around in space and spacewalk. The voice acting was also really good.Good job!
Hey! We wanted to make an entertaining game about picking up trash and my team made it happen, lol!
I am so stoked you enjoyed the game, the floating mechanics, and the voice acting. Thank you for playing!
Have an awesome day!
I liked the design and the voice in the game was funny I really liked it.
Thank you for appreciating our efforts both in design and our character voices -- it's validating to know some folks enjoyed these specific efforts.
Have a great rest of your day!
This was a pretty fun game! I've always liked outer space physics in games as it can make for some interesting movement. Having a multiplayer option was also pretty neat.
Thank you for your feedback, ExterabisStudios!
The entire game relies on the space physics created by our engineers; I'm happy you found the results interesting.
Have a great day!
Struggled a bit with controls but once i got the hang of it is a very neat game. Actually felt like i was floating around cleaning space :) Also impressed you got multiplayer into it. Nice job
Super stoked you enjoyed the floating mechanics in this game; thanks for leaving some feedback!
hey i loved the game it reminded me of how that house cleaners game works.. other than that keep up the good work!
I appreciate your feedback, RayGameDev.
Thank you so much for the feedback!
The simple game mechanic of cleaning works very well in combination with the lovely voice acting, and empty atmosphere of of the space ship. I eventually attempted my own space walk and was genuinely scared of starnding in deep space. Really nice game, I would suggest to make the audio tapes less hidden, maybe use a bigger model for them, because they're the core of the game imo. Really fun to listen to.
Excellent feedback -- we'll consider making the audio tapes more accessible.
More so, we're happy you enjoyed the experience of spacewalking! Our team's programmers worked super hard on that and this will make them pleased!
Thanks again for playing and have a great day!
This was a very well thought out game. These kinds of games are typically not my favorite, ive always found spacey/floating controls to be very difficult, and I was a bit overwhelmed by the amount of controls, but it was actually pretty easy to get used to quickly and I love how they worked. I appreciate you giving us a lot more control in the air, it was actually fun getting all turned around and upside down, and being able to rotate myself back upright. This game almost felt like a personified podcast (in a good way, if thats the analogy i wanna make xD). It was super chill and something I feel like I can enjoy mindlessly to wind down from stress. The recordings were also very fun. Im always happy to listen to "my boy tasty". Maybe if you wanna keep working on this in the future, you could add some up-gradable tools to help aide you in your cleanup job!
You're too kind, Remmiemmyjr! The air controls were meticulously crafted by the team's programmers, and I'm super stoked you enjoyed it. Also, as the person who wrote and performed the audio portions, I'm super flattered that you liked that aspect of our game too.
We're Tethered Together was one of my favorites from this game jam, so this feedback means a ton!
Hope you have a great rest of your day!
Although the actual objective (as far as I understood it, picking trash) of the game wasn't that fun to me since it was quite repetitive, I bet it would have been way more fun with friends (which I didn't bring :c).
And I had a fun time exploring the ship and playing with the movement mechanics. I think you really made it feel like weightlessness - the way the camera spins and the way you move.
Your honest feedback is greatly appreciated. We super enjoyed your game entry and love that you let us know that the trash game loop should be considered more -- we will think about how to make it better!
More so, thank you for complimenting the weightless mechanics -- our team worked super hard to make that both functional and fun!
Thank you again for playing and letting us know what you thought!
Just played the game and i will be honest i didnt finish it. its great that it has multiplayer i honestly didnt think any game in the jam would have multiplayer and im sure it wouldve been fun with friends. but i played it alone so im gonna talk from my prespective, the game IS fun buuut the fact that the cleaning task is the only one and its long (im just guessing that its the only one since its that long) it kinda gets repetitive. Although the mechanics are amazing and i wished you built on it more. like the fact that you can switch between flight mode(sacrificing control to get movement) and vice versa is really a good mechanic. the audio logs are amazing as well as some are funny. i absolutely love the graphics although some items such as the buttons dont really have textures so it kinda looks weird. but all and all great job from you and your team! the game was fun (at first although like i said the task got a bit repetitive) and good luck on your future projects! <3
Great feedback! As someone who also featured a cleaning mechanic in their game -- it means a lot. It's a tricky balance and one we can tweak for this project and future projects.
The flying mechanics were significantly considered by our team, too. So I appreciate you mentioning that you wanted more -- we will consider this deeply.
Also, thank you for appreciating the audio logs -- it was a gamble that players would stay with them, so it feels so validating to have something do just that with your comment. You're awesome.
Thanks again for playing, and have a great day!
Amazing job with multiplayer! Graphics are great, and I really like flying mechanism, it feels so real.
Nice game!
Thank you for playing, Mikuson. Our team worked hard on making the flying/floating mechanics seem both real and fun; super glad you enjoyed it!
Cleaning the ship is fun and the gravity physics are fun to mess around with. I really like how much momentum there is. The graphics look awesome and the trash highlighting is really helpful. The audio logs are really cool to try and figure out what happened hearing from all the different personalities. It's also really cool how cleaning gives you something to do in the background. My biggest complaint though is that the audio logs are a way too long and the characters tend to ramble a lot (I did listen to the whole thing though). But the voice acting is pretty decent.
I appreciate this feedback so much, especially coming from someone who made such a great horror game.
Thank you for playing!
