How does you game fit the theme?
Well you play as multiple players... I really don't know how to describe it, but you have to plan your moves to help others... idk
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
Yep! Not counting the arial font...

One thing that I got advice on both this game and a lot of my platformers is "The platforming controls could use some work" or I don't feel like I'm in control and well the same I could say here I understand that you didn't want the characters to just go from 0 to 1 you wanted them to have a transition but decreasing your horizontal movement by a fraction when you aren't pressing a or d isn't hard and it can add a lot of control without sacrificing the "smoothness" of it.
If I was to give one advice is focus less on the amount of content like having tenths of levels and polishing the basic gameplay you'll end up with less but of higher quality gameplay and on when making a game it's all about quality over quantity and this is especially true for game jams where we understand that some people don't have time to seat making levels for hours but we still like those games if they have good gameplay even for the 3 minutes we play them
Tbh, that smoothness wasn't intentional, that was just me making platformer for the first time. I was a little bit experimental, so as soon as i saw characters move, i was like: "OOO NICE! now i should focus on main mechanics (the time recording)". After some time i noticed that platformers shouldn't be as smooth as mine was, but i had an awful burnout and couldn't bring myself to try and fix theese stuff and polishing things. If you have a good tutorial, It would be great if you would share it to me, cuz I m willing to learn and become better! Thanks for advice!
Honestly if you want to learn about platforming I would recommend https://gmtk.itch.io/platformer-toolkit it's an interactive tutorial about platformers and you can even see different presets of popular platformers like mario, super meat boy so you can see how different games create their movement to fit into their gameplay.
But if your intrested more in coding part of things you can catch me on discord usually around 14 GMT for a chat Mentel#0840
There should be some sort of checkpoint feature. I found some levels challenging sometimes because of the time limit. I think I get what you were going for but you may not've playtested with other people enough. But once I got past some of the difficulty blocks, it was smooth sailing. Good game! 7.5/10
If you don't mind, could you play and review my game? I need some constructive criticism lol.

I liked the idea a lot! But the game feels a bit too punishing to me. There is a time limit + some kind of spikes + you can smash your bro sometimes. And when it happens - you have to start from the very beginning. With controls not being too responsive this became really painful at times. The amount of content is really impressive. Great job overall!
yeah that was my first published platformer kind of game, thats why moving is so bad. Sorry
Cool idea! I like the puzzles and that there are multiple levels! Good match with the theme
Maybe players are just a bit too slippery and a music per "world" would be better but great job!
Very Cool... ;P
Here is jump fix & browser version https://antyco.itch.io/on-your-shoulders-033-fixed-web-edition. Please use it for ratings
ehh you posted the wrong file for linux you should have posted the .x86_64
thanks for info. I made a browser version so you can play: https://antyco.itch.io/on-your-shoulders-033-fixed-web-edition
I really tried to push through a lot of these levels but I just can't help but get frustrated at the jumping, it feels so natural just to move whilst in the air for this type of game especially and some levels even require a restart because it becomes impossible to move and you get soft locked by not being able to jump out of an area, I'd love to see this updated to include a WebGL build and allowing movement left and right whilst jumping because I'd really love to give it another try it just doesn't work very well with the jump issue, outside of that the graphics are simplistic and nice to look at, the audio is cool, and the idea is really good, again it's just that jump issue that makes it a difficult for me.
yeah i had that bug that when you move in air right or left you get stuck in the wall... But it is an easy fix not sure why i didn't fix that. I will notify you when i will fix it. Glad you liked the rest of the game (about WebGL - it didn't wanna work. Maybe it was because i named the file v0.3 with that dot?)
I have no clue about the WebGL issue however for the sticking to walls I'm pretty sure you just attach a PhysicsMaterial2D (Friction=0, Bounciness=0) to both the walls and the player characters and they'll work assuming your movement works with that sorta system.
so yeah, thanks for the hint and i will use your method next time, but i somewhat fixed the problem and added the web design, so could you play this version and make new rating? Or at least play it and tell me about the experience, what you would change etc. https://antyco.itch.io/on-your-shoulders-033-fixed-web-edition
I'll have to check it's not against Jam rules to change rating based on uploads after submission time but either way will play and give a comment :)
It is always fun to play puzzle games.
The juming is very weird i can't seem to jump over anything
yes, because of dumb bug i had to disable controlling left/right in air
you have to gain tempo then jump
i will fix it very soon and link you fixed version
here, i fixed it: https://antyco.itch.io/on-your-shoulders-033-fixed-web-edition
