I like the idea but this was super hard. The attack was so slow in the daydream that it made it really hard to check if you could walk forward more. I kept dying from the daydream going too fast.

Really enjoyed this, the driving with the mouse was perfect, like I had to remind myself to move, and the platformer was the right amount of stressful!

I feel like the attack should be a bit faster to be fun. Not sure if I totally suck at 28 points but those 1k-2k achievements are crazy!

pretty interesting idea, it is really fun to play too, my only nitpick is that the restart takes too long, for a hard game like this a fast restart really helps you to learn it quickly.

I think the enemies are a little bit indistinguishable. Their color doesn't pop out. That isn't normally a problem, but this is a multi-tasking game so it really helps to have elements you can recognize purely with color. For example, the car colors in this game stand out really well.
The concept is super cool, and I'd love to see the game polished up after the jam is over!
Awesome idea and really well implemented. Personally I was holding right in the dream a lot and was not being punished. An idea for this game would be to make the dream more based on quick time events, that would demand me to pay attention to the dream but not absorb my entire focus or ignore it completely. Overall, great work.
Yeah, the dream is basically just 80% pressing right and thats not the best game mechanic I heard :))
As soon as the lock for this jam is gone, I#ll probably add collision to the enemies, so you have to attack them, and something like a second attack so you have to use specific buttons and can't spam one.

The concept of this game is really cool, it's also really hard though. It is fun trying to split your focus on both games. I did somehow manage to glitch the dream guy out of his level (grey background), so I could just keep walking to the right with him and drive the car. But even that somehow still fit with the theme :).
Well, you're the first one to find a bug in the game. You probably fell thorugh the floor and just were midair the whole time, which obviously shouldn't happen :).
I'm guessing you were playing the web version, did it happen right at the start or did it happen somewhere midgame?

This is a really cool idea, at first I had no idea what I was doing but once into it it's really fun. I could really see it with a scoreboard and trying to beat friends scores etc. I'm not sure about the art style though, I think with the music (which creates a nice atmosphere) something more futuristic/sci-fi would mesh better.

Scoreboard would definetely not be a bad idea, since scores are basically the whole purpose of the game.
The problems with the graphics are that I cannot create any good looking assets myself, so for jams I'm restricted to basically anything thats free somewhere, but maybe in the future I could find something more fitting :)
Interesting idea. At the same time, I like the mechanics while also hating them because I didn't get the controls straight away and kept sliding off the road... :D
There seems to be a sound stutter when reloading the game.
Introducing daydream later would let the player get used to car controls first, imo.

The game has a step curve to get into I give that.
The sound stutter is exclusive to the html version and seems to be an with the export settings I chose so I hope i'll be easy to fix.
Lastly, someone else also came up with the ideo of easing the player into these mechanics by introducing it slowly so it's definitely something I'll take a look at. :)
