In what way does your game fit the theme?
The game features a robot servant who decides that he had enough of the bossy humans. Instead of serving them, he chooses to destroy them and reign chaos! :)

Did you write all the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
I wrote all the code myself and created all the models. However, I worked solo on this project, and so to save time, I mainly used assets for particle effects and music. I wrote everything I used in the game description.

Pretty cool models. The environment could be more detailed. The movement was a bit strange with keyboard. Probably with controller would be better.

I liked how the robot just raged, Not much chaos in this game though, just laser eye-ing everything in your path

Great game! A bit confusing at first but once you rage it was pretty cool. I liked the art and the laser effects.

5 star game design, innovation and audio! One of the very few which have a story! I hope in the future humans don't become too bossy and robots spread chaos! Hahah!

Definitely a very different entry, and a nice overall visual style.  Though I do feel, as you've even said, that the beginning is really slow without much feedback on what's actually happening.  I feel like a bar changing, eyes flashing or some sort of feedback would massively improve that area.

Cause at the moment there's not any feedback on if you moving the butter even impacts anything.  Both people still continue yelling for it when you move it between them, leading to, at least for me, a lot of confusion on thinking that it's not actually registering it moving etc.

As for the main gameplay a few points I'd say would be:

  • Firing being based off movement specifically and not using anything close to a twin stick shooter system makes it massively more annoying to deal with enemies.  Because you have to try and move far enough away to have range and then move back to be able to hit anything while trying to still avoid damage.  I feel like adding a twin stick shooter system with the mouse would be a massive improvement on this and allow for difficulty of enemies to be increased as well.
  • Movement is very weird to get used to and overall not very responsive.  There's the obvious fact that all of it is on diagonals which is super disorienting.  I feel like making it more set directions would definitely help, or possibly setting up some sort of relative controls.  All depends.  A big part of why it doesn't feel responsive though is turning, there's a massive delay to turning which is very annoying to deal with when switching directions is so integral to combat.
  • A final thing is that there's basically NO feedback anywhere, on damage dealt/taken etc..  Which leads to a lot of missed info and wondering what happened, how it happened etc..  Even just a basic timer for when waves would spawn and a flash on the character when you take damage would be great for just that extra bit of feedback.

Overall though, an interesting setup and concep, with a bit of slow gameplay and some cool visuals.

The passing the butter was confusing but then after the robot raged it made sense! Good fun. As others have said, the controls while aiming were difficult but that added some challenge

Please check out my game too, we haven't had many ratings yet :(

Nice game! Like others said, the walking is a bit weird, and the fact that it is tied to the aiming made it a bit difficult to aim stuff. But still, a pretty fun game with a nice simple story and cool graphics too!

Must say I was extremely confused at the beginning of the game and was unsure of how to get past the "Pass the Butter" phase. I almost gave up on it, tbh. Still not sure how I got past it, but after that I had a good time. I like the enemy phases, though it was a pretty slow start. Great job.

Good game :)

The concept was interesting and we liked the little narrative in the beginning. The core mechanics were nice too. Using z and x as controlls felt kinda weird, since they are placed differently on international keyboards. The perspective of the camera looked good, still the movementdirections took a bit ketting used too, because the character walked diagonally

Good entry though :)

Interesting chaos! Definitely I would love to see here aiming with mouse and/or walking directions that would reflect the robot is walking yet it was a bit of fun trying to aim at policemen there Lack of sounds is quite disturbing yet if they would be there music would be a perfect fit!

This game was interesting. Loved the graphics tho. Really well done!

Cool game. Reminds me of going deviant in Detroit. Controls were a little tricky and I think a more traditional up down type deal would do more for the game. I really like your variety in enemies, kept the game interesting. One thing I will say is that I didn't really feel a strong sense of the theme. I think a part of that is character movement being so slow. I think the addition of a sprint for the cost of energy might be a nice solution. Well done for submitting.

I tried to be nice and pass the butter. However, it ended in a killing spree :-)

The unexpected outcome after the "Press Spacebar to Rage" sold it for me.

An angry af robot obliterating humankind.. what a pleasure to play

Developer

Thanks for playing!

Hard to get past the z,x butter bit, once I did it was fun killing the humans, but weird that the controls didn't do the expected up/down/left/right but were isometric instead.

Developer

Thanks! First time making an isometric game - the lesson here is to make the movement to related to the camera, but to the world space.

I wasn't really sure what was going on exactly, but I thought the ending was really funny! I thought the table was going to catch fire, but the whole thing exploded! Enjoyed it!

Is cool, i like it

This a really good game! I love the model of the robot! However, the controls are difficult.
