Hey nice entry! I think the core mechanics need a little work and the camera is janky when the player is in the top left corner but overall it's pretty smooth. I like how you decided to keep the field of play in one screen - that makes it easy to parse what's going on at a glance which really helps when you are dealing with so many different resources. That being said I never really felt overwhelmed since everything is introduced at a good pace and the tutorial is top notch. I also must complement you on the music which I found to be very cinematic and emotional. *Spoiler alert* when scratch cat had to choose between sacrificing himself to save his unborn child that may not even live past two years old because of a crippling genetic disease knowing full well that he is the only one who can stop global catastrophe as was foretold in the prophecy and resurrecting Carl Marx my god I have never cried so much from a game jam game.
