Working at Area 51 can be a bit... chaotic. Made for the Brackey's Jam 2020.2 with the theme "Let there be chaos".

Went upto 2300 points.... Things got a bit .... as they say chaotic!!!! I like the game would have like some visual and sound effect it would have made the game so better.

This was a Great Game!!! Kudos! :D

Developer

Haha nice, 2300 seems to be the average! Yeah, I wish we had time for sounds.

Thanks for playing!

First try I got over 2500 points and I had a ton of fun! Super simple, but definitely lives up to the chaos you hope to see in this jam's games. Fantastic job!

Overall a nice enrty! Wer enjoyed the setting and the tutorial was funny too! As said in some reviews before, the lack of sound is really a bummer.

Nice game in general :)

Joe Schmo. That 2 minutes was eaaasy. Seriously though, really great work on this. Should definitely have more ratings. Even without any directions I was able to quickly pick up on the goal of the game and had a positive experience interacting with the mechanics. Good ramp up time and I really appreciated the amount of leeway you give with being able to squish the aliens and grab onto the UFOs. Other games of the same type would go the other directions and make the colliders super tiny so you'd have to be right on the pixel. So some extra padding really helps here.

I would say though, I wish there was some sound. Really kills the vibe when the only real feedback I get the sound of my mouse clicking on things.

Developer

Thanks for playing!

Yeah, that's why Joe was fired, looks like they finally got a good employee lol. I originally had perfect hitboxes but it was hard for me to play, hence why I made the 25% bigger. Glad you liked the ramp-up and the mechanics! As for sound, we didn't have time to implement them. We will after the jam is over though!

As an Area 51 agent I can say that this game really displays what we do on a daily basis. Funny little game :)

Developer

Yesssss lol

Thanks for playing!

Really cool concept well executed. Some sounds and maybe music would have been nice, but obviously not needed.

The game actually gets quite difficult after a while, which is great. I made it to a score of 3937, don't know if that's good or bad, but it was fun getting there. I also really like the "Job Rules" with the "Got it? No" starting the game, lol.

Good job, you made a very cool game!

Developer

Thanks for playing! We didn't have time to implement audio, but we plan on doing it after the voting period.

As for your score, that's is a really good score. Haven't playtested with other people much, but my record is ~4300. Glad you liked the rules page :).

Neat little game! Liked the idea but i felt like i was managing a flock and not really getting rewarded in any meaningful way.
Enjoyed it though! :)

Developer

Thanks for playing!

I'm glad you liked the idea! Sadly, I agree with the points, not very meaningful outside of the game. I'll talk to upper management about paying our employees. Thanks for the feedback!
