A really unique mechanic so far throughout the jam.  And a lot of potential for weird stuff to be done with it, the setup is definitely convoluted, but it works.  I feel like it takes a bit too long to get into it though, especially without some sort of interaction, some visual, or a speed up button might help.  Overall controls were pretty good, no major issues other than a few bugs.  Some feedback on the design though (of what I could play):

  • The level that I was actually able to play, felt relatively simple, though it is an intro level.  Level 2 had me very confused for a bit though, since it was seemingly the same level, but with the characters spawning at the signs, or almost at them.  But I'd definitely enjoy more levels, depending where they went.
  • I'm unsure if it's intended, but slingshotting with blue was pretty satisfying and relatively interesting.  It definitely lead to some skips.  But I think leaning into it could be a good idea.  Just my 2 cents.
  • Also just as a final bit, the control scheme was a bit weird, a decent amount of accidentally switching due to how close the keys are, along with doing the opposite, and a bit of personal preference in wanting WASD in the game.  I think changing the X and C hotkeys would be a good idea, the Z seems fine, but having all 3 there just seemed to lead to a lot of mispresses.

The idea is really clever and the mechanics worked great (except when the game broke and I could control both caracthers at the same time lol). My only problem is that I can't see the entire window, it's a little high for some reason and ALT+ENTER didn't fullscreen; I don't know if it's a problem with the resolution of something, but I can't even finish the first level because I can't see anything on the top part. The game looks promising though, if you fix it I would definitely play it. Congrats on the submission!
