Hi guys, here's my first ever game !

Password is: Wind

There is for now the Introduction levels of the game and the first level only, I will add the next levels through the day as well as the audio and the music theme.
Don't hesitate to give me your feedback and to share this game with your friends, I need as many people to play Playtest !

I'll be please to also playtest your games !

-Your rewind ability just moves me back but its ok

-also i like your UI elements. Its cool

Thanks for your feedback!

How about the level difficulty ? Was that okay (like some retries before succeeding different parts of the levels) or too difficult?

I like your game, the art is really good.
Some small notes on things I did see:
-  I feel like the jump height in the past is really low compared to the beginning
- You could maybe speed up a bit the dialogue box, the text appears quite slowly on my side
- Enemies are quite far away from each other and when we hear the sound we don't know where they are. I knew that one was behind me only when I saw the life of the friend going down, maybe you should had a direction indicator. You could also had a life bar to ennemies, we would then now that we are actually hitting them.
- When you click on a button (continue button for example), the shoot animation is playing. You should consider adding a raycast system to now if your clicking on UI and if so not play the animation.

In any case, it's pretty dope what you and your team did in a week ! Good job !

2 level hard i think(when you must use ability to complete level) but remain parts of game is good.

if i add 3d sound you cant hear sound if you far away but i thinked that players is more interested in reading dialogues(i write in note that 3 killers must kill his friend but however, there were only two of them :D )

Can i make dialogues more readeble or more interesting?

Submitted

I see,

For dialogues I'd say what I told you previously, just make the text appear a bit faster. It would give more dynamism to text I think.
Also maybe you can change the color of the important information so that it's more catchy and people would remember better. (like the three killer thing i didn't remember ahah)

Ok thanks

Definitely an interesting take. I like it.

Thanks !

It's awesome to see that someone did actually follow the theme not as travelling back in the time but for example turning the wind direction. I like the style of the game but I think you could add some juice to it by adding some post-processing effects. Some screen shake on collision with walls would be just perfect. Edit after some playing: game is harder than it looks - really fun to play

I'll be more than happy to hear an opinion about my game

Thanks for your feedback and ideas !

Post processing is planed especially when the re-wind is active. I didn't think of screen shake, that's a super idea, I will work on it !

I love the idea of your game and it is not easy as well, I don't think I succeed to do more than three tables in a row ahah
Otherwise, I believe you could add the score on Game Over view, cause in game we don't necessarily look at it as it's going quite fast between explosion. Also the sensitivity was a bit too high according to me.

Submitted

You can hit Q to enter settings - there you can tweak sensitivity. Thanks for the score idea - ill for sure add it in a moment.

Submitted

Actually it's the first thing I checked, and I was already at 10 the lowest sensitivity :/
It's certainly fine for majority of people, I'm just not used to it. Or maybe I just  lack of sleep so I will try again tomorrow and see. :)

Your music is very good and your game is too addictive, I like how to speakers move. There was a bug where there spawned thousand of plates and i glitch in the floor also sometimes the dead screen does not work.

It is a very cool game, and it's harder than it looks. I think some animation on the plane and the pinwheels could make it feel more active, but the basic concept and execution is amazing.

I would love to here your feedback on my game, FreeFall. https://jacjson.itch.io/freefall (plays in browser)

Thanks for your feedback man !  Animation was a kind of my last preoccupation ahah

For your game, I really wanted to play it because I love Celeste and it's mechanics, thought of working a project like that before switching to RE-WIND (the movement didn't felt good). Anyway, I am super disappointed that I can't play as I have a French keyboard and switching  in my head the keys' place to find the corresponding one on English keyboard is too difficult  :(

However from what I saw of it the art is awesome and your Celeste-movement and jump are really nice ! ( That correspond to the only English keys I succeed to figure out ahah)

So my feedback ? Make it French keyboard compliant and I'd love to play to give you a real feedback :D

Submitted

So sorry, I didn't even think about keyboards when making it! What is the problem when you try to use a French keyboard? This is my first game and I don't really understand what the differences could be.

Submitted

No worries, you couldn't know !
FYI, the keys in French and English keyboards are not in the same place. Imagine playing a game and the keys to walk are in zqsd position instead of wasd position on English keyboard. So usually I switch keyboard language when you can't change the key directly in game and switch in my head the position of the keys, than the "z" for me becomes "w". However, for your game I don't even know where some of the keys could be  on the English keyboard like [ for example.

You shouldn't really even consider it as something to care about, it's French people fault by decided to get a different keyboard than the rest of the world ahaha

Submitted

Oh, that makes sense. But FYI, the [ is to the right of P.

Submitted

Your game is a really cool platformer i sure am going to bookmark this. The controls are a little bit hard. Could you please check out my game if you have time: https://janjcl.itch.io/revengeonebos

Thanks for playing! I went through yours; it was a lot of fun! Very reminiscent of an old NES game. One thing I would add is a crouch, or making the player collider the same size as the player, because I felt robbed of a few lives because I got hit in the square above me.

Submitted

I really like the artstyle of this game  .some parts of the levels were a little hard but thats okay because i like a little bit of challenge.Overall Pretty good game.

Submitted

Thanks ! It wouldn't be funny without a bit of challenge isn't it ?

Submitted

Oh man, Gold. Awesome art. Loved it. Very clean level design. Didn’t you add any sound or maybe pc was muted, whatever. I found it a little bit difficult, maybe I am a bad gamer. However, I think you should adjust the collider of the plane. Btw, loved that instructions haha

Submitted

Thanks I appreciate ! :D
Such comments remind me the reason I stayed up all night in order to finished everything up.

Adjusting the colliders of the plane was on my list when I encountered some unwanted collision myself.

If you feel like the rest of the levels are now disponible ! And the music theme is here !

Submitted

Aww, I will play it again, when I am free.

Submitted

Cool Game,

I like how you used the theme in your game.

pls check out my game: https://janjcl.itch.io/revengeonebos

Submitted

I like how the music fits well with your game ! Is the enemies position aleatory on some levels ?

Submitted

Thanks for feedback, no the enemys have been placed.

Submitted

Your game is pretty difficult and I like it!

Also you can play my game: https://ludwintor.itch.io/repuzzled

Submitted

Thanks ! I like it when it's a challenging ! Next levels are out if you feel like playing through the all game :)

I'll check your game later in the day. From the screenshot the artwork looks super nice and I'm really interested in playing it but I definitely lack of sleep right now.

Submitted

This game looks awesome! We'll be sure to add this to our game queue when its the rating period. Check out our game as well!

Submitted

Thanks !

Your game looks awesome too ! I'll play it later in the day, because I think I'm too tired right now to understand puzzle games, but you guys picked my curiosity with your game !

Submitted

Cool game idea, but is it just me or is the game sometimes a bit unforgiving?  Like the collisions are sometimes not really understandable. But otherwise it's a great take on the theme and for your first game it rolled out pretty good and cool!

Submitted

Thanks man I appreciate !
On the first version, the colliders of the plane where a bit to big  causing unplanned collision ahah
The full version is up if you want to try it out !

Submitted

Wait a minute

But my game is rewind also

Submitted

Is the game idea from mine??? XD
