Using Collaborate or Cloud Build for the first time? (Unity)

Hi fellow Jammers,

Source Control and Cloud Build Agents are great helpers when collaborating in teams, and both of the Unity Services mentioned are particularly useful for small project teams as they are integrated right into the Editor with very little required in the way of setup. That said, they can be a bit confusing to use if it is the first time you are checking them out.

The Unity Manual here is a great starting place to get information if you are stuck.

For Collaborate, one of the least obvious steps and requirements is that you need to assign an individual Team Seat AND add them to the project (unless you have them set as a manager or owner of the organization) in order for them to be able to download the project.

Cloud Build (Teams Advanced Only) is also quite useful if you want to prepare multiple build targets at once and/or not have your Development machine tied up with builds.

The Support Team at Unity is happy to help if you have issues, but checking the information above can be a big time saver :)

Good Luck!
