Beautiful game. Relaxing and calm... until I step on a trap! Would love to know how to avoid them, some clue or something. I like the controls, simple and responsive. The music is relaxing. The animation is simple very well made.
Really nice experience. Congratulations!

So my biggest issue with the game is the fact that I don't see the traps and all of a sudden I die. I understand that it has something to do with the clocks but I never really saw anything different between the clocks that did nothing. The character is to slow and it got boring at times when I just wanted to move forward.

Now the things I really liked was the character design, music and overall art of the game :)

Developer

thank u for playing , if look closely the clocks has a pattern to them what to follow and what to not ! , I did consider increasing the movement of the character during development but when i did it became a hustle to control .

Very good project! I like the graphics and the SFX. The longevity is good. Maybe the freedom given to the player is too much. Sometimes I lost myself. And unfortunately, after I unlocked the "brown" level, I have not been able to finish it. But great work and good luck ;)

Developer

thank u for playing , Yes the brown level is the most confusing one XD .

Nice atmosphere, perfect to create a nice story game. The horizontal movement is a bit to rigid. Also sometimes I didn't really understand why I died. But nice project overall. :)

Developer

thank u 4 playing , the clocks can show u the way ;)

I love the atmosphere of the game, sound effects, visual, music, it makes it have its own vibe! :)

The concept itself I didn't find to fit really well with the theme, and didn't fully understand how it worked.

Great work for this game! :) Would appreciate if you could try and rate our game as well: https://hadilepanda.itch.io/corewind

thank u for playing , at the beginning of the jam  I thought a lot of how to incorporate the theme in the game and I settled on the idea of you have to find the right clock to rewind the next platform so u can go on , I wanted to expand on the idea and add more complicated ways But the Time XD maybe if I go with a full release .

Controls were good, as well as the basic movement, very important in platformers. I do like the wall launch, probably unintended, but could be of use in designing the level. Like if the player wants to go back to a higher location, could be used as a shortcut mechanic. 😊
On another note, sometimes it's confusing why the character dies, so maybe a short delay before respawn would help clear that out, but I do realize traps spawn where they weren't before.
Btw, what are the floating clocks for?

Developer

thank you for playing , actually I thought I fixed the wall launch XD , But i guess it turned out to the best :) yeah the death I wanted to add some kind of affect or delay but I was afraid of running out of time , and the clocks It's a sign of where to go and if there is danger .

thank u again if went with full version I will consider your suggestions .

Feel of the movement  was really good, the wall launching mechanic was hilarious, not sure if it was intentional but please keep it in. It didn't break the game (much). Sound fx and music fit perfectly and gave a good mood and the visuals did the same. Excellent work!

Developer

thank u 4 playing  , yeah the wall XD Now it's a keeper for sure .

Really liked the music and the background!! You can do some kind of walljump, I don't know if it was intencional, but it's fun to do it anyways.

Developer

thank you , glad  you like it .

Really liked the mood of it! I was lost a bit until I read other comments that there was double jump. A lot more enjoyable after that :-P

Developer

thank u 4 playing , I'm glad you liked it at a point in the development I considered taking  the double jump dawn due to some animation problem but at the end it all worked out :)

The music and art fit together very well and I really liked the controls, gotta love double jump. Great game would love to see more.

I love this! The art is wonderful in that it is simple, but carries a specific tone. The art and the music really drew me in, and I really got lost in the game. Controls are simple and feel good. I almost wanted to say the game needs a little more explanation, but after playing through and beating it I liked learning as I went along.  I just wish I got the story a little more by the end of it. I feel that your game is underrated and is one of the few that managed to keep me interested enough to finish. Nice job!

If you don't mind I would appreciate if you checked my game out, and maybe rate it. Am genuinely interested to hear what you think!

thank u , really happy you like it , at first I wanted to incorporate background story for the character and to have an ending one as well but when I considered the time limit it had to go  :( instead focused on the controls and the scope of the level.

Yeah I had a similar problem, it's the nature of game jams I guess. It's nice to know from the feedback what's missing for next time though. I look forward to try harder to balance things out for the next jam.

I enjoyed listening to the music! It was nice and calming. I think the "rewind" is more of a death, so maybe implement more of a rewind mechanic? The character movement fits the theme of the game well, so I like that! It might be a good to increase the speed by just a tiny bit so that it feels like you have a bit more control.

Developer

thank u for playing  , yeah i struggled with the what kind of "rewind" to incorporate and with the time enclosing on me I had to settle on an idea that can be done in the time i had , I am was thinking of refine it more to make more like a full game and if i do i surely  will consider your suggestions thank u .
