In what way does your game fit the theme?
The dungeon holds the power of time bending and manipulates the players journey by rewinding to the first room over and over again (also at the very end to the start of the game).

Did you write most of the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
We created almost everything ourselves as a team of 2 people.

The art style is very nice! My one improvement would be to show the player when he hits an enemy because it's hard to tell at the moment. Still great game!

Developer

Thanks! We had that in mind, but that's where the lack of time and resources hit us. Glad you still enjoyed <3

I really liked the idea!  The whole samurai sheathing sword move is a definitely favorite of mine and loved seeing it in game format.  I think my biggest criticism is that I would have liked a bit more clarity on how many times you've hit an enemy so you can more easily tell how much damage you've done.

Developer

Thank you so much! You're totally right, that would give a lot more clarity to the player. Glad you still enjoyed <3

The concept is REALLY cool and the feeling of sheathing and watching a pack of enemies blow up is great.  With some polish, like say having indicators for how many times you've 'marked' an enemy and whether you've marked them enough to kill them I could really see myself loving this game.

Thank you! Love to hear such great feedback <3 We'll keep your suggestion in mind :)

I really like the way that you attack enemies. It has a “samurai movie” feel, so it’s perfect for the game, but, as much as I enjoyed it, I had one issue with it. Most of the times, I didn’t know if I had marked a enemy or not. Maybe you should consider adding a visual cue to represent how many times, if any, the player has marked an enemy?

Great game overall!

Developer

You're totally right and we wanted to add it, but that's where the lack of time and resources hit us! Thank you so much for playing and the great feedback <

I really love the concept! The idea is pretty fun and it is a pretty addictive game! if the gameplay was a little bit faster, i would be really awesome. Congrats!

thank you for playing,Glad you like it  ◠‿◠

Left wanting more at the end. Not because there's not enough, but because it's so wildly addictive. Definitely the best submission I've played so far!

Developer(+1)

Thanks! Love to hear that <3

I like how the player moves and attack with the sword.. sometimes is hard to understand the collision with the enemies.

Good Job.

My game is a casual game if you wanna rate is https://misterm.itch.io/mixtape-match , Thanks

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! Surely gonna check your game out :)

The game art and sound is really great, but a tutorial and more latency to hit enemies would be a bit better. I found myself stuck, and not knowing what to do (the sideways text does not really help with teaching the player). Good game, though.

Developer

Yes, we should have focused a bit more on that! Thanks for the feedback, glad you enjoyed it <3

Nice game !

Developer

Thanks!

The graphics are really nice. I love the samurais animations, also the enemys are well designed. Sometimes I got damage while dashing through the enemy, which felt kind of unrewarding. Aside from that the mechanic seems to be really well thought-through and I hope you do even more with this game after the jam or so :3

The fighting mechanic is super interesting but very unintuitive. It took me a while to understand how it works. Definitely needs some visual feedback when you slice through enemies .

sorry for that, for some reason the text for that disappeard

Developer(+1)

You're totally right! We had that in mind, but that's where the lack of time and resources got us. Hope you still enjoyed :)

Took a bit to figure out how to deal damage, interesting concept though and a neat little roguelite. It's fun.

Yea sorry for the confusion ^^" seems like the tutorial entry got lost, updated the description now, so it should be clear for everyone! :)

Had no idea about RMB doing execution. Player avatar and executions are too slow and makes game hard and less fun in my opinion.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the feedback! It's meant to be challenging, especially at the start with no items, but we hope you still enjoyed :)

the game was quite fun however having to wait to deal damage felt unfair.

u need to press rmb

ik i press rmb but it doesn't feel fair that enemies can just attack you but you have to go through extra steps
