The movement feel great and the animations look awesome, although you should disable Unity's compression on some of them so they don't get distorted colors. My only tip is to make the background inside playable areas a bit darker as to provide better contrast with the player and the monsters

- I love the slime animation.
- I did get stuck in the wall from a blue hole xD
- Like other people pointed out, the sign says melee is right click. I was trying to kill the slime with right click for a while. "Man, the first enemy is pretty tough." lol
- I was able to kill the slime from the grave. (Revenge!)
- You have lots of enemy types. I'm sure you could expand on levels etc. if you wanted to. Maybe the slimes could have less health? idk if you want them to be cannon fodder or not, but it might empower the player.
- If you die while the sign gui is up, you can't respawn
- I LOVED THAT SWORD BOSS. Visuals were very impressive for it. If it was just a bit faster or something, to make it more threatening, it would be perfect!
- Your control scheme worked well. I had to get used to holding down right until I fired. I'm not sure if that could be improved or not...maybe if you could make it just one click of the right button and then charge using left? Overall, it was nice though.

Great job! The game functions well! I had a similar issue with mbarba where the signs were innacurate. Also, sometimes we didnt see the projectile. Besides that, make the UI a bit larger and I think it will be great! Keep up the good work!
Great foundation! There is some issues, like sometimes the signs seem inaccurate (says melee is right click when it is left click?), and some bugs, but I think the spritework is great and with more time you could really improve it! I would like to see what this game is like with faster movement, and enemies that die faster. Great job!

Really fun metroidvania style game. The ranged and melee attacks worked well, the sounds were solid, and the character designs and animations were awesome. I think I got to the very end, I killed a giant robot in the bottom right corner of the map.
I had some trouble figuring out the portals since the signs didn’t seem to be functioning properly. It seemed like each did two things: 1) teleport you and 2) give you some ability? The blue one gave you jump height and the red one did something else?
Either way, really fun. Great job guys.

Audio and gameplay were nice, although I found the shooting to not work that well if the enemies were further than a few feet away. Overall a good entry, maybe expand past grey in the colour palette.
All around, H.O.LE.S. is OK. I like the pixel art and the miner aesthetic. The music isn't bad either. The shooting can feel a bit clunky, but the worst part is the portal aspect, where it's very easy to get stuck in walls. Not bad, but needs some work.
Pretty interesting platformed with nice combat mechanics. Exploring the mine was fun too!
Good game, nice music, sfx and cool animations! Various enemy types with different attacks. Good job!
