Unfortunately I couldn't get the game to progress beyond the screen after the start "start" button; it kept crashing. I'm running Windows 11. I see some SDL3 dlls - what did you write the game in?

Flying around feels pretty fun, but shooting was a bit tough. I think that can be fixed with some camera changes. It's unclear how you're meant to start the game.
Here's a vod of me playing your game. Thanks for sharing!

I liked flying around and the concept of needing to get more points as the enemy star made it harder to hold on to your upgrade points. I think you have the base of a very fun gameplay loop! I can say I was a little confused what my win condition was, whether it was fully upgrading my ship or defeating the enemy star. Best of luck with wherever you take this in the future!
The game music is great and I think the concept is interesting. The control are a bit hard but otherwise pretty cool
Nice movement physics! I got lost too at the first UI screen and didn't know what to do, maybe spawning the player next to the upgrade base would be easier, overall nice little game, well done!
Not sure how to play the game. It's hard to control but the visuals are great!
Found it pretty confusing, didn't help that the window size made it very small on my screen and hard to parse. Still pretty impressive work for a jam though :)
fun game, i like the physics partof it although a little bit of slow down especially sideways would makeit way smoother to play, it fe t great to move around although . Here are some quick suggestions to maybe make it better (idk what you guys were aiming for so maybe some of the things i critizie are intended) but it was quite hard to figure out what to do in the beginning, also i can't set this game in fullscreen mode, i think you guys should also definitely add visual feedback to killing the enemies (a simple directional particle effect or a little glowing animation would go hugee ways) also i think the shop is a little bit weird when you first spawn in with like the jittering going on, but overal solid entry you guys made
I'll be very honest here. I was quite confused going in the game and I think some tutorial content would help. I'm also not so sure about the goal of the game. Is the enemy star killable? Do I try to go for enemy ships? Where is my hit points? What does each upgrade do? I think the core concept is there and the game has potential, but it could use a little more communication with the player.
pretty simple and enjoyable game, but in my opinion you might wanna make random spawner for the enemy ships because going back to upgrade and going there to kill them is kinda annoying personally tho, otherwise great game 8/10 ❤️❤️
Very fun and simple game! Feels very polished! :D 7/10 foxes
Cool game!
I was a little confused at the start and even restarted the game once. I finally figured out that you need to press an arrow key to begin. Maybe you could add a simple instruction for that?
Other than that, the gameplay is really smooth, but I found the ship controls to be quite challenging. Still, a great entry!
I also noticed the issue with the UI getting stuck at the start, but managed to get out it fairly quick! I actually really love this game! The music goes hard, for some reason the stars background feels really cozy to me? Gameplay is really smooth and satisfying! I just wish there was more to do!
Good work. But your game should have a tutorial to guide players.
It’s a good game, but it could use a bit more guidance at the beginning. During the first few minutes, I was just clicking around the screen waiting for something to happen. Also, I wasn’t really sure which enemies I needed to defeat — or if there were any enemies at all. If you plan to keep developing the game after the jam, it could turn out to be really fun!
