How does the game fit the theme?
At the start nothing/very little can go wrong since you have an infinite shield and a quick fire rate, but as the game progresses, this is less and less true
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
1. soundtrack (I did make all effect myself)
2. joystick for touch controls
Links to both can be found in my game description

I got a real sense of nostalgia playing this for some reason, it's gotta be the sound effects lmao, feels like you'd play this in newgrounds in 2010, excellent game man
Nice game! Especially the sounds are bombastic! It took me right back to my childhood when I used to play with my wooden toys just like that!
Cute shooter game! I love the clean and simple design. I would love the game more with better SFX other than voiced ones. Also cool boss fight
I also did the sounds effect in my game ahah :) Well done, that made me giggle :D
I enjoyed, sweet, and short, I would have added more chaos to make it fit even more with the theme, but otherwise I liked.
A lovely little Space-Invaders-like with some nice mechanical progression (regression) and excellent sound design. Kudos!
After fire rate was nerf. Real game has begun.
Really liked the game; retro graphics and voiceover are great. I guess you did the sounds with your mouth like we did for our game? I died during the wave with the slow fire rate. I have to give it another try. Can we unlock a super weapon after the slow-paced passage?
No, I've toyed with the idea but really wanted to try the reverse power fantasy idea.
I think that's ok for a game jam, but probably not great for a full game
Very fun game, at first I thought the game was too easy but ate my words after when my fire rate got very slow. Was very challenging and a great experience!
very fun game, also dude the soundtrack goes so hard
The retro minimalist look and humor really won me over, though I did find the enemy bullets a bit hard to track at times. Very well executed game for a solo developer, keep up the good work!
Thanks for adding Joy Stick for mobile ^_^. Really cool, loved the nerfing over time too, twas a really unique idea. Art was dope too
Pretty neat game you got! Do like the minimalist graphics and the feel of movement and shooting. Did find it hard to see the bullets of the enemies just cause they were really thin. Maybe if those bullets had lighting or were just different a color, I would've saw them more.
Either way, cool stuff!
I loved the humor and sound effects in this game. Taking away the rapid fire gun was devistating haha. Nice work!
Fun! It might go against the retro/challenge vibe but if the enemies' and the player's shots were different colours, it might help make the game more "readable" though maybe that would be for an easy mode or something. Either way it was fun and challenging!
Was fun too play. Il like the minimalist graphics and 2 color (+thrusters) but it's perhaps too simple. Move is smooth, and it become challenging to avoid bullet. Well done.
I really liked the background that you had, very much suiting to the game and minimalistic. The gameplay was also fun just blasting off and moving left right.
Please play and rate my game as well, thanks!
I really appreciated the sound effects and challenge of the game. Thanks for making it :)
Captain Falcon salutes your awesome space ship haha. This was really neat to see and the sound effects were funny!
You had me thinking it was gonna be an easy game at the start mowing down waves of shapes! It was fun having to learn new tricks as the difficulty slowly ramps, and the death tips are actually useful which isn't always the case.
Amazing how you can make such a good game with so "simple" graphics (only in appearance, it is actually not easy to do keep things simple)! I'm jealous, wanted to make the effects as well but did not have time! History telling brings a lot! Congrats!
