How does your game fit the theme?
Theme Interpretation
Calm before the Storm
At first, the requests from your people and the gods' responses seem manageable, with minor shifts in favor that are easy to balance. This represents the calm phase, where the player feels in control, managing resources and maintaining harmony.
However, as the game progresses, the requests become more complex and the gods grow more demanding. The once peaceful routine gives way to a storm of conflicting choices, where every action has greater consequences. The player is faced with escalating tension, juggling the delicate balance between fulfilling the needs of the people and preventing divine wrath. The storm arrives in the form of increasingly difficult decisions, where one misstep could lead to chaos and ruin.

LENDA VIVA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
LENDA VIVA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A LENDA ESTÁ QUI.
Cool theming and pretty nice score/sounds. The gameplay is a little bit strange and I'm not sure I totally understand it. On my second round I perfectly balanced 0 favor from any gods (canceled out and played neutral cards) and I also covered all the resources but I still failed. It really needs a tutorial.
Okay so first off, the game is really cool looking. Im a bit sad because I didnt understand how to play. You clearly worked on it awhile, it has a great feel to the game but I couldnt figure out what I was doing at all. Im gonna over-describe what I was thinking in case someone else felt this way and you want to solve this issue.
I dont understand the point in stock resource - we have cards, arent those the resources?
What exactly do the modifiers do? It just says theyre modifiers so im not exactly sure what theyre doing.
Im not sure how to max out or hit zero but im constantly doing both.
Does the seasons affect anything?
I played like 10 times and finally beat a round but Im not sure what I did. =/ If you update the instructions or something I can try again. It looks like a cool game, I just didnt understand.
Hee-ho. Very cool art. Good idea. Interesting start menu
Amazing original art. Really wonderful atmosphere you've created.
Really clever card puzzle game. One of the few games so far I really felt compelled to play several times.
Took me a bit to learn the mechanics, but It clicked after a couple tries.
On a sour note, I’m not a huge fan of the right click interaction for the cards. It makes it difficult to play with a trackpad and I’m not sure why left click wouldn’t work for that.
Also, the paragraphs of text when you lose is punishing, maybe that was intentional?
Great work, y’all!
Thanks for playing! Honestly, we didn’t even consider trackpad interactions, using RMB just felt intuitive with a mouse. We’ll definitely keep your feedback in mind. Appreciate the input!
Cool game tbh
Really impressive art, sound and just general use of interactive visuals. Like a previous comment suggested I would maybe re-work the font a little, but I appreciate it trying to stick to the theme.
Wow, really loved this concept, super impressed! Would be cool if you can find I fitting font thats easier to read, but otherwise I think you should totally keep building on this. The art was great and the sfx super fitting too :)
It appears I have thrust my polis into never ending darkness. Alas!
The gods shall decide your punishment
Greek theme is really fitting and I like art style of this game, however I hate this font. But other than that it's a fun game!
Thanks for playing! You actually experienced a pretty bugged release, but I've made some fixes I'd appreciate it if you could try again and share your feedback. The game should be more stable after round 1. The font can be a bit tough to read at times, but I chose it for the flavor, other fonts just didn't fit as well. It felt like a worthwhile trade-off.
I played it and still had fun, so I guess my comment still stands 😁
Fun blend of card game and resource management. Played a few games and found it to work well.
Would be nice to have a more rapid pace of play but excellent game design. Really well done!
Thanks for playing! I'm impressed you made it through despite the bugs. I've made some much-needed fixes, give it another try and let me know what you think!
I saw the note about the buggy browser version so was expecting issues. First game, it froze and I couldn't place any more cards. Reloaded and appears I won after the first hand. I honestly didn't really understand what was going on, but this is the kind of game that definitely needs to start slow and build up in complexity. Still, really well done for the jam. My other suggestion would be to pay attention to font and how hard it is to read sometimes. I know what you were going for with the theming of the game, but I struggled with it at times.
Hey, thanks for playing! the game was definitely not working properly, I fixed some things and the game should at least run as intended, if possible give another shot and tell me what you think about. In regards the font, it was a trade between readability and theme, but yeah some parts are hard to read
