Cool game! I liked having to balance between getting money and not having to face more enemies than I can deal with. I really liked the graphics and how the enemies had unique abilities. Good job! :D

I felt as same as nubitoad I thought it is something like sorting the mechnaics it is also fun but I like the action too

I was confused at first and thought the first screen was the whole game. Interesting idea though. I like the love you put into the art too. Congrats!

Cool spin on the bullet hell idea. Just needs some good polishing. Sound design would make it significantly more exciting.

A bit confusing to discern what was happening at first, but pretty cool once I figured it out. The idea of getting to choose which enemies you fight is fantastic - and I am a huge fan of the paper cutout art style.

I like the idea of being able to balance the difficulty by choosing which guests stay!  You've got good feedback on characters taking damage with the red flash which is really important.  The art on all the characters is really fun, and I think the line feels really good as well!  I like that you can click you choices really fast and the line still progresses naturally.  Being able to hit the bombs away from you is really fun as well.

Some feedback from me: I see you have a teammate credit for sound, but I didn't hear anything the whole time.  I tried both the windows and web build.  Sound is one of the most important things when it comes to game feel, so I'd love to see a version of this with sound working!  I think the game is a little too tough, for a jam you wanna try to lean to the easy side if you can.  I think increasing the player's attack range might be a quick fix, but may not be the best one.

Great job!

Wow, interesting idea - to have some control over a bullethell phase! It was fun but challenging for me to play. But I really loved the concept! And the art! And different types of enemies! And I tried to push the bombs back to the enemies - that was pretty cool! =) Unfortunately I couldn't hear any sounds/music.. But I noticed in the description you credited a sound person..

Glad you enjoyed it! Unfortunately we were short in time in the end and prioritised getting a playable game over adding sounds. There will probably be an update with sounds and music after the voting period ends.

Cool concept! Player needs to strategically think whom wants to invite and how it'll affect gameplay during the night. Would like to see more juicy and polished top-down gameplay as for now it feels a little bit clunky and hard to control. Especially when fighting with those bomb throwing creatures.

Like art style and the premise of the game! Interesting lore, it seems the game has more to tell. Great job, enjoying it a lot!

Thanks for the feedback! I definitely would've liked to polish the combat a bit more, I think it turned out a bit too hard. The bombs' explosion radius unfortunately turned out a bit bigger than the visuals indicate, that might be the reason for your frustration ;)
Our intention was to let players push the bombs back into the enemies, did you manage to do that? Maybe the bomb timer should be a bit longer to make it easier.

Really interesting and fun game mechanic! A little bit difficult to get some enemies but it made it more challenging!

Fun game! I like how I  have control of the difficulty! I was mostly avoiding the turret-like enemies as those were quite difficult. Other than that, I love the spooky artstyle! Great work!

I love how the variable difficulty works when letting guests in! Its a fun concept that could be really fun if fleshed out more, great job :)

Absolutely amazing! The gameplay is smooth, and the visuals are breathtaking. It’s clear you’ve put a lot of love into this game! ;D

I really like the concept here of the risk-for-reward strategy of how many guests you let in. I also like the theming and thought the art was super cute! Nice game :)

Well done on your submission to the game jam.
10/10 would reject guests from my 1 star hotel again

Cool Game! As others have said being able to organically choose your difficult but accepting or rejecting people is a really cool idea. The action section of the game I feel would feel better if the players attack had better range and move speed for both the player and the enemies was increased a little, to give a more responsive but more frantic feel. But you definitely have a really cool idea here if you want to take it further after the Jam!

Cool concpt. I liked how you had to choose how many guests to let in, obviously making it harder but for more reward potential. The art is really nice.

It's a cool visual style and the idea of choosing the number of enemies is interesting, but there wasn't enough action in the bullet hell part for me. Good luck! <3
