Really nice game, I think it could do with some sound effects of the machine upgrading, the sounds of the lasers, when it gets hit, etc. but it's a really nice game and I'd love to see it get developed further!
I love mechs, and this game didn't disappoint. A vampire survivors wave survival game but as a big stompy mech, the low speed does feel appropriate here.
The small round "training remote" enemies are really annoying though, they should be slower, and the constant barrage of shots flying in off-screen should be limited to big, slow moving enemies, as it just becomes a focus on dodging shots instead of destroying enemies.
That becomes moot though as the volume of enemy fire becomes so high and the player's movement remains slow, so that you cannot help but take damage.
I'd add some terrain features like destroyed cities, vehicles/clutter you can stomp on, roads you walk on faster and swamps that slow you and the enemy down etc.
Regardless I think there's promise for this, with balance polish, more enemies, upgrades etc. it has potential to become a solid commercial game.
Nice job!
Very cool main character!! Would have decreased the hitbox though. Rest of the game easy to pickup. Also font of the text does a lot, fast and easy to implement so def. use something that fits the game next jam! Great concept! :)
Great Game Concept...
I think the dash should be fast and more powerful...
I love that you handle ZQSD by default <3
Not revolutionary but I liked destroying robots, even though I wish there were some visual and/or audio confirmation that I was indeed hitting the ennemies.
Anyway, good job!
This game is a masterpiece! The attention to detail and immersive world-building really set it apart. It’s obvious a lot of care went into making this. Well done on such an impressive creation! ;D
The art of this game is just awesome, really makes you feel like a powerful mech, all it's missing is a good stomping sound when you're walking!
Pretty cool game. I do wish the player's dash had a bit more kick to it, though, since there were several times I found myself swarmed by energy blasts and just didn't have the movement speed to escape. Title screen looks sick.
The game's theme concept and artistic design blend together wonderfully, though I did miss some of the response sounds for shots or leveling up. The enemies were also a little challenging to hit, though this was probably more a skill issue on my part. Great work
I loved the art and the music, they work really well together. I wish the hit boxes on the enemy turrets were a little bit bigger but that's probably a skill issue.
The art is super cool! The menu screen especially looks amazing and i love the design of the robot. The game is fun, a bit difficult at first but gets progressively easier. I wish there were sound effects for guns and explosions. I think heavy footstep sounds as the robot stomps around could help it feel more tangible
I love the way the robot looks along with the animations! The game is fun too, although sometimes it feels impossible to dodge projectiles due to the slow movement speed.
A bit challenging due to the slow pace of the robot, but pretty fun to play ! With some polish and few tweeks, it can be a great game !
Game concept is good! But like everyone else is saying the player really moves really slow and the boost is not super helpful with that. Over all a fun game. And where have I seen that title before...
Pretty good, The robot's movement feels kind of slow but the upgrade options were good and I liked the detail on the animations when the enemies spawned.
For a giant mech movement feels slow, I barely could dodge any attack. Simple juicing mechanics like a light screen-shake or rubble when stomping would have already made a huge difference.
The skeleton is there for a fun survivor, you need to look into improving the game feel. But in it's current state I didn't really see how it fit the theme
I do love the title screen & death animation, also got some great art assets in there. Make the buttons a bit more stylized and you have that part polished down. :D
Good game, kind of wished the character could move faster than a turtle
Nice game! Doesn't feel like it gets any harder later on though.
I am rubbish at playing games on PC. I am slowly learning GODOT so it is nice what game types I can eventually make. Game can be fun
