Nice job! Liked the increasing enemies during storms.
I think there's a minor bug where the dash doesn't even work until you die. Sometimes after you die, it stops working until you die again.
Also the itch.io page should say the arrow keys are for movement, a comment that's currently on the page helped clarify it.
I got to the ending. Simple but really fun gameplay and quite a bit of content there, overall really good job on this game!
Yep, I discovered that bug the other day, I'm guessing this happens when you dash into the sword? Anyways, I'm fixing that rn. Thanks for the feedback :>
Very nice game, some story elements could add a lot to this.
Great work!
nice game! i liked that the big enemies only show up in the storm, very well done :)
Great art style and music. Set the tone for the game. As for the gameplay it is simple yet very well done. The dash and attack pause are well integrated into the game. The storm phase adds a bit of tension to the game.
Kudos!! You made a fun game.. :D
Thank you appreciate it! :)
I really loved this game! The early Nintendo vibes you nailed perfectly, and everything was executed spot on with what you were going for. Great entry!!
love this graphics style! reminds me of alot of old games i loved on kongregate days! sound effects were perfect!
The dash effect is really cool. The music was a bit loud. but otherwise this game is very cool. Good Job.
Hey good job! I liked the art and the storm mechanic was cool! I managed to get the drive stone! :)
I love how the dash works in this game. I didn't really like how the attacks worked though, I felt that I needed to double check the direction I was facing before attacking and overtime this made me want to ignore fighting. Great ambience you set here!
Maaaan. I love your art. Such obviously homebrew assets while still very clean and enjoyable. Great job!
Tsym :)
Cool game!
Nice retro feel, liked breaking bushes and the sound they made. It was a little unclear what the pickups did and what the goal was, as nothing happened once I reached 58 monster kills. Was fun regardless :)
So the goal was to collect the Drive Stone which is located in the North of the level after you collect the key in the far east. The monster counter was supposed be for a ranking system that was going to be present at the end of the map however that didn't happen. As for the sounds I'm glad you enjoyed them :D
really nice, I was trying to find a way to lower the music a bit from the game itself, but I did not find a way. However, I do love how the enemies spawn when the rain starts I can see the theme in the game. Nice work!
Yeah the music was added last second, I meant to add music I composed for it but I had a bit of trouble, mb
cool game! enjoyed to dash around and kill some goblins. Those goblins on steroids are huge! so terrifying O.O
You got that right >:D
This feels like a very nice base for something that could be interesting, but as of right now it is kind of bare bones. The combat is very simple but it still feels nice. Also, if you want it to have more of a Zelda feel, you might want to make the level design a bit less linear, although it's understandable that that would take a lot more time.
Thanks for the feedback, I'm planning to continue this at some point so I'll take this into account
The game has a very classic rpg feel to it. I liked that if you die you just respawn a little ways back. It's easy to just run past everything, so an incentive to kill enemies would be nice. The storm spawning orcs is weird, especially when it happens when you are inside.
Thank you much appreciated. The reason for the whole orc spawning is because I was trying to finish before the deadline. Originally golems were supposed to spawn during the strom but I had to scrap them for the time being. And the reason for the rain inside was purely cause I didn't had a better idea to keep you on your toes while traversing the cave...
Nice game! I like the dash effect and the sword is satisfying to use. Some feedback;
The distance you have to back track after getting the key is slightly long. It would be nice if the points you picked up did something. It was also unclear if that monster counter out of "/58" meant anything.
That "/58" was originally supposed to how many enemies you had to defeat in order to get a certain rank but that would have been tedious. Since I was sleep deprived, I forgot to take it back out...
