It's a frantic hell in the retail world when Black Friday hits. But not only that as an employee you never know when a new wave of customers with absurd problems will want to see the manager

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
All the assets were made from scratch

i liked this a lot, but the lagspikes in webGL is a major issue. i obviously dont know what caused them, but i expect you're doing something like loading the character sprite when you instantiate them?

Developer

The problem is in how godot handles sprites on webGL loading all the animations for the character only when they enter your viewport I tried everything to fix it but sadly I would need to modify the compiler code to mess with that :V

Submitted

my game used godot and animated sprites and we saw no such lagspikes. its not a compiler issue

A really fun game, throw feels great and sound design is good

This game really brings back the nostallgia of buying toilet paper during the pandemic

Fun game and quite challenging at first! The graphics looked good and the fact that the different weapons had different weaknesses / strengths made the gameplay feel much more interesting that it otherwise would have been.

Submitted(+1)

love the art style and the gameplay was really fun will return to beat it

overall it's a straight to the point jump in and have fun experience. i like it

i saw you giving updates on this in discord (i see the turnstiles i recommended :D). overall i thought the game was really fun and challenging, probably one of the best I've played so far. Nice game!

Developer

I enjoyed working with you guys on the weapon ideas and honestly I don't think I'd had as many weapons if not for the jam chat <3

I saw you posting in the Discord and was really excited to try this game. It plays very well has good feedback and overall is a very fun game. Amazing jam submission!

Developer

Glad you liked it. I wanted to hang out a little more and this time with a more bite sized game I had a perfect opertunity to show some progress during the jam.

I liked the game, it's difficult, satisfying and frustrating. Overall it's fun

Just another average black friday at your local Wal-mart Supercenter.

I had fun with it, and the theme made me giggle a bit.
Controlling the character felt pretty clunky though. I also didn't feel like there was much variation there. Furiously click in direction, throw object, pick up a new one, maybe swing or move at a different speed, repeat. I would like to have seen a little more variation in the weapon properties, and enemy behaviors to make me feel like I had a little more agency.

I've seen the progress on dev of this game on discord, and I can say, great job! The game feels extremely difficult, but at the same time is super satisfying! Also some mastery is required to understand the pros and cons of different weapons. Good job!

I died 12947612391626841 times but in the end I owned all the karens. Very fun!

Very fun game, I loved the sound and visual efects. The best part is the mechanics behind the weapons, how the affect speed and damage. Nice Work!

This game is so much fun! The fact that the baquette being one of the weapon is hilarious lol. Although it's a bit difficult at first, but once you get used to how the combat works then there comes the fun. Especially the alarm events, there were so many zombies spawned that it literally lagged my browser haha!

I'd have loved to rate this game but I didn't have enough time to participate in the jam unfortunately. So I'll give it an overall score of 4 out of 5 in this comment here, well done!

Developer

You can always rate the game through the itch.io system instead of the jam ratings :D

Hmm, I just checked that, it seems like I have to wait for the rating period to end or something, because it there's only a "Rate for Brackeys Game Jam 2024.2" button.

Fun submission! The character sprites are really well done and the game has a lot of personality. I think there could have been a bit more feedback when the player takes damage, and it's really nitpicky but I felt like some of the progress bars were a little hard to parse, I think they could have been a little bit thicker. Good job!

Developer

I tried to give a lot of audio feedback but I agree that the progress bar's on objects could have been bigger

Well done! Like the visuals

Pretty cool game. And help me I made a sine wave out of the line of customers chasing me

Developer(+1)

Glad you liked it. Well the customers really want that gaming console your carrying but don't worry they don't bite

It was fun to play, well done ! Got the station but i did not make my way back to the exit haha

Developer

Yeah it's a little difficult to get used to it, I kinda tried to match it to the playtesters but seems like I had some pro gamers.
