How does your game fit the theme?
In Static, you have to navigate from room to room to avoid a monster that roams around the halls. The player is is able to peek through doors to make sure the path is clear before leaving their room.

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
All of the code was created from scratch and I used asset packs for the 3d models.

The game actually scared me. The entity's AI was great, and I love the game design and the graphics. There was an actual sense of horror.

Also it would have been great if you could hide after closing the door. Idk of the ending was broken but "safe for now" part made me thought there'd be more monsters which would've been fun. Very polished except little bit of collision issues.

Thanks for trying it out! I did intend to add a hiding mechanic but I ran out of time. I will most likely add it after the voting period :)

AAH! got afraid a couple of times lol, really cool game. Love the aesthetic and the vibe. Well done, and matching  the theme.

I really loved the game, and I got to say that the static got me everytime, so basically It had me on the edge of my seat!

Great vibe and atmosphere!

Really awesome game. It's polished and has a clear vision that it executes well. I'm a big fan of the visual direction, it's all very cohesive. The game had me on the edge of my seat!

At one point I peaked through a keyhole and the monster made eye-contact with me. I almost had a heart attack before it turned away.

Great pixel-art-esque visuals! The atmosphere was on point, and I enjoyed peeking through doors. Nicely done!

Really enjoyed playing this game, great job!

The graphics and the atmosphere for this game were top-notch! Loved the general feel of the game. Reminded me of the old Amnesia and Slenderman games. As others noted, the ending is probably buggy. I managed to kill the entity, but didn’t understand if it was the end or if there was something else to be done. Also, when I grabbed the shotgun after I had grabbed the ammo, it still displayed a message that I had to find the ammo. It’s a little detail, but I felt the feedback would be useful for you.

Definitely enjoyed playing this one!

Thanks for the feedback, still need to fix those little bugs :) Killing the monster is the end right now due to time limits but I'm working on a better ending. The game was heavily inspired by Amnesia and it took me a while to figure out how to get the doors to behave the same!

Game crashes when i try to shoot

Developer (1 edit)

I thought I fixed that! Thanks for letting me know, it’s supposed to play an animation and take you to another scene.

Edit: fixed now!

Very  interesting although the fact you can outrun the entity / creature kind of ruins the whole concept. I did although like the atmosphere and intro. Door peaking seems buggy and unreliable. Ending was abrupt, some indicator that I did the right thing would go a long way. This game has a lot of potential, keep up the good work!

Thanks for trying it out! The ending was bugged, I’m doing a quick fix right now.

Edit: fixed now!

Jumpscare has my butthole permanently puckered. Thank you for that. I wasn't able to find anything before getting killed and stopped after a few runs, but I can see the potential. Good game :)

Thank you for the feedback! I'll definitely make it more clear on what needs to be done :)
