How does your game fit the theme?
This game fits the theme diving deeper, because you are a whale diving deep into the ocean. The game environment makes you feel deep underground, and the story is about going deeper as well.

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
yes, everything!

Sad stuff. But pretty.

Wow. It's been atmospheric. Good graphics and music.

pixel art is very good, like the vibe of the game, the lighting is very good, well polished. Very nice!

Perhaps you could try out my game as well?

Awesome game with an interesting story!

A bit too dark to my taste, but it fits the story very well.

Funny to see how many pearls need to be picked up from under water in many of the entries of this game jam. I think this one is by far the hardest one to find.

Great entry.

A beautiful little game.  slower-paced ecco the dolphin vibe.

Nice visual atmosphere, the movement could be a little faster and the music track gets repetitive quickly. I wasn't able to find all the shells, but I did manage to mourn.

Thanks for the feedback! I only started making music this August so I'm still learning haha, and yeah the shells may be hard to find, its hard for me to playtest when I know where they all are already. I'm glad you liked the art though!

I love the art and ambience. It would be better if we move faster. Other than that good job!

Can you try and rate my game ?

Developer

yeah, ill give it a spin!

I like the artstyle and the chiptune music.
Simple and easy gameplay but the exploration was exciting.
I kind of expected the end of the story.

cool graphics and music

Good story albeit a bit sad. The sea does feel lonely as there's not a soul to be seen. The movement as well as the meter decreases a bit slowly. The items/attacks(?) could also be clearer.

Came here to feel the atmosphere, now I'm sad.  ;-;

Love the art-style! In terms of level design, I would have liked it to guide the player's eye more so it doesn't feel directionless when diving deep. The narrative was very poetic but the words didn't always connect form me. Overall sweet story, very cute and 100% on brand for the theme :D

Very atmospheric! Thinking about the ending and since fun was a category... eeee I will just interpret that one as "enjoyable to play in any emotional condition ;) " Well done. Now i`m sad. xD

I really like the dark atmosphere of the game and the small story it’s trying to tell.

Good atmosphere. Enjoyed the game. 👍

A great experience! I really love the artstyle it has.

Thanks! I really like how the art came together for this project. I even had to do a little research on underwater plants to get the deep sea atmosphere right(tall kelp only grows near the surface).

Good game with a nice story. Well made!

Great game! And a bit sad too, I actually drowned at first, because I was too slow. Also the jumpscares actually made me jump xD. Nice game, good job!

Developer(+1)

Thank you! I'm so glad you liked the game. I added the scary little guys last minute because I realized the game needed a little more to it.

I always respect people who manage to do game alone on their own! Simple yet great concept, Liked when I could see a shell but it was designed to make the player search the entry to really have an hand on it.

Thank you for your comment! You could say I 'sunk' a lot of time into this project, hehe.
