How does your game fit the theme?
You dive deeper into the computer in search of viruses as the antivirus.

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
Yes pretty much. The only thing I reused was the transition when resetting the game.

It seems very cool but I have played 5 times now and I die immediately before any enemy appears for seemingly no reason?

Developer

Did you collide with the back wall from the 3rd dimension?

Very interesting game! Love the sound effects, the music, and the character design! Gameplay was fun too!

A Very Nice Idea indeed, but there are a few problems:

  • Since the game is taking 2d slices of a 3d environment, it can be very easy to get distracted from the upcoming platforms and get trapped between the viruses
  • There is no upgrade/Power system. You've only got a weak, slow reload bullet, that cannot even kill the enemies on time.
  • I suggest having checkpoints where you can either upgrade something strong, or get a permanent weak boost
  • Also, if you want to keep this unique style of 2d of 3d, consider making the player being able to move in and out of the computer. the game currently only continuously goes in.

Otherwise, a very good game :D

Interesting idea. I wasn't able to get very far but i had fun playing it :). I'm not sure if it's meant to be this way/on purpose but every time I die it seems to crash/freeze.

Developer

Yes it’s intentional. You are meant to press ESC after death to get to the pause menu, and then restart. Glad you liked it! :)

Good game style and sound effects)

Looks and feels great. Didn't get far enough to make proper use of the swap, but the idea is interesting.

Really cool idea! Although I got stuck on a platform which I think killed me but the game froze

I really enjoyed the graphics and the feel of the game!

Nice work! Swapping between enemies is a really interesting mechanic, I'd love to see it taken further. If you wanted to make this into a full release then it would definitely need a tutorial but otherwise - great job.

Really fun game, it can be difficult to switch to the enemy at times because of how fast they are and the game did crash a couple of times when I lost. But it was super fun and a really cool concept.

Developer

It could be that you confused the time stop effect with crashing maybe? Could you confirm? Didn’t really have time for a lose menu so I went with that.

Also thanks for the feedback!

Without a tutorial, I was confused on the what I was supposed to do the first time playing. But after giving it a few tries, the game became pretty fun to play. It was quite difficult though, the enemies seemed way stronger and better than me.

Overall, It's a fun game with a cool concept.

That was fun to play!

An interesting idea, but was quite unclear what to do, especially without a scoring system. Also, it was difficult to attack/take over and dodge when the enemies moved so fast. Besides the difficult it's not bad.

I liked it. Good job.
