How does your game fit the theme?
In a literal way of exploring a cave- hence going deeper underground, and also metaphorically 'diving deeper' into a mystery to find it's meaning.
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
All assets except for sound & music were made from scratch.

What an experience! Great work!
What a game! I don't really get the crouch mechanic, since there is no downside to using, simply making the player's hitbox smaller would've been good enough instead of being forced to use the crouch through 90% of the game. I like the other controls beside that, allowing you to build up speed on slopes really makes the game more fun!
Great game. Nice controls and mechanics)
Nice that you made it all from scratch! :D The movement is a little delicate, but I love the art style. Good job!
Cool assets! Slide/run and jump mechanic was nice Unique story. I stayed at the end . Good job!
Can you try and rate my game ?
I liked the sounds, and map layout (also good use of crouching mechanics). Sometimes it felt that I got damaged when I shouldn't have. I think you should add more visual feedback to getting damaged and maybe instead of instant kill go with couple hits before death. Overall was interesting experience.
I love the design of the game and is was really fun
The sound design was pretty nice!
The game feel requires a bit of work, like adding particles when the player steps on the black spikes. I liked the graphics it was nice and the story was intriguing.
Great ambience. Though the movement and controls felt slow and stale. Audio was good.
Nice submission and take on the brief. The ambience and background were great and really portrayed the deep cave feeling along with the ambience. The gameplay was fun but a little hard with the platforming i died a lot but that could be a skill issue. well done though
Cute little game, tutorializiation and such are pretty well handled, the platforming feels sloppy and the artstyle isn't super congruent though. The stroy is pretty good and the audio is well handled. Good job!
Really enjoyed the use of multiple audio regions to give a sense of progression as you explored. It is clear that you as a developer appreciate aspects of mystery both in the narrative you crafted and in the game design (exposed yet seemingly unreachable paths, etc.).
As mentioned here otherwise, respawn time could be reduced. I also felt that the game ramps up in difficult a little bit suddenly towards the end, which could be worth looking at.
P.S., the sudden, piercing sound of dying on spikes made me jump: twice LOL
This was a pretty cool game! I found the controls to be a little floaty and frustrating, and the dying wait time could be sped up a lot. I thought the atmosphere and the story was pretty cool though!
Neat game that clearly has lots of work put into it in the Game Design and Audio aspects in particular. Also ticks the box for Theme literally and metaphorically.
Clearly lots of work went into the Game Design, as is evident from obstacles becoming harder the further you go, nice leaps of faith and spikes in places that could trip a player up. Pages did motivate me to keep playing for longer too and made me want to explore more.
Audio design really carried the aesthetic and atmosphere of the game for me. Liked the dripping sound that came in the caves as you went deeper and the wind ambience. I liked the art style of the beginning dialogue/cutscene as well.
For improvements, I'd suggest adding a Screen that shows the pages you have collected and the pages you still need to collect. Would add to the motivation to complete the game. I'd also suggest reducing the spawn time, felt like the camera fixates on the point you die for a bit too long.
Overall, very strong and atmospheric submission. Great job!
It was really fun, the level design was cool, I liked jumping across the lava like a frog, but If there would be something I would change it would be just to increase the fall speed, it was a little floaty which was fine in most places but sometimes it would send me straight into a spike. The cutscene and story were awesome!
Cave brother :)
I figured it out, now I can play it! It's an alright game but dying in this game is really annoying. Still, good job! :D
I liked the story and ending of the game but the controls feel like they should be in another game, because the character is floaty and can get speed really fast in an envoirenment that is very claustrophobic and where you sometimes have to slowly walk to not get hit by the spikes. The Atmosphere of the game was really good.
Hey! I wanna play a game but all I see is a gray screen. It doesn't load for me
