How does your game fit the theme?
The game is about an orca who does math to stay underwater.
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
No, I've used some 3rd party assets.

Good concept only suggestion would be the ball could be a bit bigger
Thanks! And noted :)
Very interesting concept!
Thanks!
Voted! Good Job =)!
Thanks :)
Dang, who new simple arithmetic could stress me out so much? What a creative concept! I did feel like the game moved a little fast sometimes; often, the levels would just solve themselves before I was even able to take in what the goal number was. But altogether, what a great package! Simple to understand and control, great animations and sound design.
Thank you!
This was a really cool idea! I like the idea of trying to solve these math equations, but you have to solve them by redirecting the ball to hit the different numbers on the walls. For me, I found that hitting the ball was really difficult, as it moved pretty fast, was a small ball, and the orca's hitting range was very short. I think a combination of changes to address those (i.e. slower ball, bigger ball, larger hit range) would make this much easier to play, and maybe as the game progresses it gets more difficult.
Solid SFX and the orca art looks nice. Personally I also don't see the relation to the theme, as it didn't really feel like I was diving deeper into anything. Overall though, excellent job on this, and really creative idea!
Thanks for your feedback!
Really cute little game! At first I didn't know what I was doing but I got the hang of it after like 30 seconds. I think I got to level 12, and I was going super tryhard at that point lol. I love orcas so this was really fun to see. I liked the unique gameplay as well, I didn't know adding numbers together with a time limit could be so fun. Great job overall! Definitely one of my favorite games I've seen so far this jam.
Thank you very much!
This was interesting took me a minute to get what was going on but once you get the hang of it it's pretty fun. Thank you for the post!
Thanks! For the feedback and your post as well :)
Ok, I couldn't figure out what to do... I can hit the ball and sometimes the number in the middle changes when I hit a number on the wall. But sometimes it doesn't seem to change... Sorry, but I can't figure it out
No worries, thanks for sharing your perspective and sorry for unclear mechanics! JIC the number in the center changes when you hit a wall with a (operation)(number) written on it. Although if you hit *1, it stays the same for math reasons. Why did I add *1 in addition to empty walls? Mystery yet to be solved (work in progress).
This is interesting. I found it way too hard to interact with the ball and ended up reaching level 14 by doing basically nothing. I was also a little confused about the math equations, for example, when the game displays "-2 =/= 0", that is already a correct statement, but the way to progress seems to be to change the -2 to a 0.
I came to understand that what the game was saying was that the left side did not match the right, and it needed to be altered in order to match. This might have been clearer if it just said "-2 = 0" and had a red X or highlight to indicate that it was incorrect, which could then change to indicate a correct value when appropriate.
Interesting, I actually thought the other way around would be confusing, look at that. Thanks for your perspective!
I love math and this game is pretty fun, although i think the ball is a little too hard to hit haha
Thanks :) Yeah the ball speed is all-agreed-upon problem.
man this looked cool but unsure a little of what I was meant to do. 3v3n after reading the page. Maybe an quick in game explainer would have helped. I liked the art style and maybe I just need to practice it more? Or I am just awful at mathes 😅 well done 👏 on getting a finished game made for the jam.
Thanks :) I thought in my head the goal was clear when I shipped it, but man was I proven wrong by the feedback - in fact, I steered people almost in the opposite direction in some cases. (JIC - you need to equate the number on the left of the inequality at the center to the number on the right)
not to worry. Are u a solo dev? I find this with my projects at times. I think something is well clear and it's not during jam feedback. I have taught myself to keep things simple(mostly) and question... wohld other people understand this lol . The feedback u have received looks generally positive. I think alot of people got it and enjoyed it so well done 👏
Thanks again!
Great creative and innovative game! :O
Thanks :)
Nice. Fun little game. Cute graphics. Good job
Thanks!
Pretty decent polished game.
Thanks!
Very very unique idea, loved the audio very satisfying to hit the blocks!
Thanks :)
This game is very innovative, I like the idea. The art and sound are very good too.
Thanks :)
The Game idea is really good and i had alot of fun playing the game. The ball is maybe a little bit too fast to hit, react and do math at the same time. Great Game!
Thanks! Yeah the speed is definitely too fast, you're not the only one on that :D
Took me a time to understand. But my favorite thing was the way the smorca smacks the ball haha
Thanks, that's the selling point :D
Cool game idea! It took me some time to understand how it is operated, and I got through the levels mostly by pure luck, but I really like the idea of this kind of math game.
Thanks :)
Very nice original concept. Takes some skill for quick thinking and quick reactions to hit the ball in the correct place! There was one small glitch that I encountered, where the ball actually left the bounds of the game level and never came back which meant I had to restart. Other than that little blip, this is overall a nice entry to the game jam!
Thanks! Yeah that's an unfortunate bug that I couldn't get rid of completely before launch. Hopefully will get around to fix it soon.
