How does your game fit the theme?
you are a diver, going down an endless underwater cave.
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
The code was written during the jam. The music file and 2 of the 3D models were imported from premade-assets, which are properly referenced on the credits file included with the game. the rest is by me.

I got down to a final depth of 10 after a few tries, and it was pretty fun! It uses the theme well, it looks great, and it kept my attention long enough to do multiple runs. I think with this being my 6th game jam, I have still yet to find a bad Godot game. I don't know how you Godot devs do it, but keep doing what you're doing.
Good job ! I had fun.
try and edit your project to be webGL, it isnt hard if u use unity and youll get tons more ratings.
I do have a WebGL port done, it is just that due to engine (Godot) the asset loading on Web is a bit slow and it freezes for about 15-30 seconds on the start of the stage while everything loads, I ended up not publishing it. I'd rather have one smooth way of play, even if I end up not getting it played much, than releasing something that can seem like it is broken. I need to hold myself back and make 2D stuff in future jams. :P
Very nice visuals and aesthetics, love the lighting effect combined with the material style!
Near depth level 10 I bought those boots that allows you to stomp enemies, but apparently they have a short cooldown which killed my run when I got swarmed by 5 or so enemies and they kept knocking me into the ceiling and then hitting me while it was on cooldown, lol.
One thing that I would change is the hitstop effect also affecting the camera by zooming in a little, it doesn't feel good imo. But other than that, good stuff!
ty for the feedback! boots will only have a collider if you are falling (if your "up speed" is negative) and now, thinking about it, seeing that we do have flying roaming enemies in the game that might not have been the best decision... I should've either found another implementation or just abandoned the upgrade to avoid confusion (but it is a jam, mistakes like tha will happen). The hitstop is a late addition to try and "juice" up the impact, didint had much time to test it properly for in-game feel.
I'm certain it would be a fun game however I had no idea that you could hit enemies so I couldn't make it past the second or third shop.
I should've included a in game "how to play", it does have the controls on the game description on the main page. ty for playing!
Game is amazing! Especially the audio when you are in the shop and choosing an item hahaha! The music really fits, the only thing is you should specify controls in your menu or somewhere, i had to find how to hit enemies, but after that i had so much fun!
Fun game! I really enjoyed the theme and lighting
