How does your game fit the theme?
You are forced to go deeper in to the woods to either survive or to win.
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
everything except for free to use main menu music, couple sound effects and a shader effect.

Fully honest, I didn't like the game to much, but for a game jam. It's just ok :)
is it executed poorly?
No it's ok :) just not my type of game, we all need to start somewhere don't be to hard on your submission. My first projects were not even worth putting online... you at least shared it!
a promising horror game with great visuals and audio, but it could benefit from improved controls and clearer instructions.
Really well made horror game! This definitely has potential to be a full on horror release. I was at the edge of my seat playing this the entire time. One small issue, however, is that I would switch the positions of the up/down arrow buttons so that they face outwards. Good job!
Thank you, I appreciate it.
The main menu, graphics, ambient sound effects were amazing! As others have said the controls were a bit annoying but I think it makes the game harder and scarier. Because I was only focused on the controls, I didn't know what to expect. Well done!
Thank you very much!
Good looking game. Creepy trees.
controls are a bit annoying. But fits the theme.
good game
This is a really cool game, I love the audio and overall vibe! The graphics are simple, but the retro style filter makes them stand out. My one complaint would be that it is kind of difficult to move around due to the movement buttons moving around the screen slightly while you hold them down. Other than that I really like it, good job!
The Main Menu looks really cool, and I love the CRT Filter that over the entire game! Also the Audio is a strong point. I didn't really understand what to do in game, because there was no instruction given to me on what to do. I trying around and pressed every key but nothing happened. Also that the control arrows are swapped, I find a little bit off. But overall, if this game has a tutorial and a list with all the controls (perhaps on the game site itself on itch) then it would be really cool!
I loved the audio and graphics, it's got a really nice vibe to it. One thing that did irk me a bit though was the controls feel a bit unintuitive.
Personally I feel like your game would shine alot more if you could use WASD or the arrow keys and not press the onscreen arrows as they move with the camera which causes the movement to stop as the camera moves the buttons away from your mouse. Plus with the button to move down being above the move up button I kept moving down when I meant to move up and vice versa.
The game seems really nice it was just hard for me to move past that. Great job anyway with it all!! I don't want my criticisms to outshine the fact I think you did a good job.
