Wow what a game! First off, the art of the game is just divine(pun intended). Strong Christian symbolism depicted in a wonderful style. Christian/Biblical mythology is mostly used in Japanese games interestingly there are very few western developers that i know which use this theme. Blasphemous series is one of the recent examples. I also know of Dante's Inferno. Btw i'm from Istanbul. In Hagia Sophia there's huge mosaic of Seraphim. I have seen it many times. I used to see it in my nightmares. It's like as if God is watching you with his eye.

Boss design is visually perfect and combat is also very fun and challenging. I like their attack patterns and phases.

Perfect use of the theme in my opinion. You gotta choose between a buff and more time to beat the game. Great execution of risk/reward.

I broke one star from controls but the problem isn't with the controls actually, it's a bug. When you get hit , the frame rate drops to 0 for a seconds than goes back to normal. Fps drop also occurs when you hit the third boss. Sometimes you get hit because the game lags. There's probably a problem in your code, you need to refactor/optimize it.

Music is also perfect, Catholic hymns what else could it be! :) Sfx are nice.

Overall, this is one the best games i've played in the jam so far. I have played about 20 games i think, maybe more. I think this game should be on Top 10 or at least in top 50 but that's not up to me and i haven't seen all the games in the jam yet. I admire your hardwork and creativity, this is a great achievment. I wish you the best of luck in your journey!

Wow, I really like the pixel art style of this game.

Really cool pixel art, man! But I also stuck in the menu where you select card. I press "E" but nothing happens.

You must have at least the two highlighted cards to start the game. I hope this helps you!

the art is awesome, as for the music, only problem is that I'm getting stuck in menu after my first try

The game is actually intense !
Remind me a bit of the binding of isaac in some ways !

Took me a while to beat it, both the bosses and enviroment are super detailed and interesting, sometimes it was hard to see some attacks or they would come up too fast (boss2 following weapon and boss3 mouths from the floor), I think stoping the timer while in the animations and "shop" would be more fair to the player had fun playing, good job !

Awesome art and atmosphere in this game. I really love how it looks and sounds. Gotta love biblically accurate angels.

The art in the game was truly breathtaking, and when paired with the music, it crafted an awe-inspiring atmosphere. The boss battles were loads of fun, although the third boss posed a bit of a challenge with weapons unpredictably spawning from the ground. As a Dark Souls player, I appreciated the game's overall vibe, as it resonated well with my gaming preferences.

However, I did face some confusion at the start menu when selecting the cards for my time. The explanation was a bit lacking, and the buttons didn't immediately convey their function, causing some initial uncertainty. Nevertheless, once immersed in the game, the experience became thoroughly enjoyable.

I must commend your creative take on the theme. Overall, I genuinely relished playing the game! Good job!

Managed to take down the first three bosses on my first run. I just took all the upgrades that sounded good without really looking at my remaining time. Really polished game, and enjoyed playing. Thanks!

I would have preferred the opening dialogue sequence to be a bit quicker.

The UI where you choose your power-ups if visually confusing. The artwork is gorgeous but the colorful buttons you must press on don't really stand out are UI elements, they just look like part of the background.

The use of the theme is very very cool. I like that idea a lot and even though the card builder menu was a bit confusing, its still a really cool gameplay idea.

Obviously, the artwork is amazing. Very nicely detailed characters and environments. The character designs are, also, very nice.

The bosses are quite fun to versus. I feel the difficulty is justifiable in the sense you can try and utilize more cards if you'd like.

The music is very nice. I like the Dark Souls style choir  and off-sounding strings mixed with the rock elements; it makes for an interesting combination.

Overall, a very good submission.
