Enjoyed the game. I don't know if you want to continue, but some feedback would be to either make left click stronger(does more damage than right click when theyre both 50%) or have enemies who require you to use the melee (so strong resistance to right click or weakness to left click) because i had a tendency to use left click to travel (which allowed me to lower its attack) and then use right click to attack because right click allows me to kill enemies from a safe distance. I really enjoyed the design where less health = more damage and less left = more right and vice versa. Hopefully you'll continue this game because I kind of want to play more levels.
I actually spent a lot of time on coding the melee attack and making it look cool. The feedback has been amazing and most of the feedback is about fixing the melee attack. I am planning to update the game to fix the melee attack after the jam ends. Thanks a lot for your feedback!!

Controls are incredible. Combat has so much depth with dash melee and the balancing & building up strength of one attack over the other & how you use them in different situations. Can see it being really rewarding getting better at this game. Brilliant work, amazing amount of work done in 7 days. would love to see it after a month.

The game is great! You've created some nice level scenery and the atmosphere was right on spot (ninja style :D). Game mechanic works well and player movement was fun to control. Other thing that came to my mind was that the enemies can be made more visualy responsive to player actions (so that I know when they're going to hit, or that I've hit them). Another small issue was that i have a different sized monitor so I couldn't see the bars and health.

Yes, the main issues I have seen are the reaction of enemies and incompatibility with wide monitors. I am very sorry for these issues. I will try to fix these when the Jam is Ove. Thanks a lot! Your feedback and kind words mean a lot to me!

Great job man! I highly encourage you to try and polish the game and continue working on it as a fully-fledged release! I love the mechanic of hurting yourself to increase attack. It's a great and very clever risk-reward system. Once again, outstanding work! :)

This is my favorite game of the jam so far. The player controls so freaking well, and the balancing of each attack is BRILLIANT (Something that I might use for future games, even when the theme isn't this). Because I love it so much, I'm going to be a little bit nitpicky on how it could be improved. Sound effects could be a little more frequent (jump sounds, enemy hit sounds, etc.), and music could be a little more bombastic for this style of game. The graphics for everything except for player, enemies, and a few background elements seem a bit last minute, but not too much. Unbelievably great job! I'd appreciate it if you could check my game out as well!

Super polished character controls and animation. I've honestly seen AAA console games that didn't look and feel half as good to play as this! The level design is also very well tuned to highlight your traversal skills
The damage balance between the two attacks was a super interesting mechanic to play around with, especially as someone who tends to find what they like and stick to it, it's refreshing to see a game that goes out of its way to reward you for experimenting with different attacks.
The audio and music suit the look and feel of the game perfectly.
I also really respect the decision to have an option to turn invincibility on. Especially for something like a game jam, people might not have the time to build up the skills necessary for this kind of game.
Only a couple of minor issues. First of all, having the up direction as the jump button always feels wrong, and made the very well implemented wall jumping feel a bit awkward. Having the space bar to jump would have made the traversal aspect flawless.
Secondly, the enemies have too much HP. I understand that, with one of the main mechanics being based around varying damage output, you need enough health for the difference to be noticeable. However, I found that even my fully powered attacks needed 2 or 3 hits to kill even the most basic enemies.
I actually played the game through for a second time, ditching the mouse entirely, and having my right hand on the up arrow as a jump button, just platforming and dodging round the enemies, and it was even more enjoyable to play like that!

It was a grave mistake on my part to remove the spacebar as jump, I should have kept up, w and spacebar as jump so that it suited everyone.
The enemies need a health bar and some good indication that tells the player that they have been hit.
I would try to fix whatever I can once the game jam is over so that anyone playing my game wouldn't face any problems.

This was a lot of fun. I really liked the spritework and animation of the main character, and the melee attack was done very well. I like the mechanic of using one attack makes the other less powerful. I also enjoyed the dark foreground platform/level design. The boss' second phase surprised me, but I liked frantically trying to deal with them chasing me.

this game controls are really fluid, just jumping around around the level feels awesome, and the ninja cyberpunk style fits the game really well. After the first boss the difficulty curve is insanely steep, i think the gameplay works best when dealing with a lot of small enemies rather than with a few bullet sponges. Great entry, with some gameplay refinements this could be a really cool sidecrolling hack n slash game

nice, the player character looks really good but the rest doesn't really in my opinion
it's hard to know it you hit an enemy or not, this should be made clearer.

One of the best jam entries I have played so far! Well done! My only complain is that it makes more sense to die when you go from 1 health to 0 health than from when you from 0 to -1 health.
Very nice running feel and smooth controls. However, it was a bit unconventional using the mouse aim and click function for the melee attack since the character faces the other direction after. If it's a swiping gesture with the mouse, it might've worked better in this fast-paced game. As an example, you can find a swipe gesture for an attack in the game "The World Ends With You", if you're familiar with that. But overall, I like the concept, presentation and the action. You mentioned this is your first game, then truly you did a great job! 👍
The animation and control are soo smooth. Very enjoyable dashing around. One of my favorite in this game jam. Well done.
