cool game i like the lighting
The aesthetics were nice, but the controlls and the collision reactions were not that good.
For example double jump was very hard to do it properly and touching the wall zeroed the vertical movement.
Also the interpretetion of the theme was too flat.
Nice and simple game! I've noticed the character gets stuck on the wall, and even the jump sound effect doesn't match the game, but its a fun platformer. Good work!
Really nice visuals. I also liked the difficulty :)
I can stuck on the wall. I'm not sure if it is bug or not, but if it is try to add a physics material to the objects :)
Good game, A bit too challenging for me, and I feel like the jump sound doesn't match the game.
The post processing is really nice but the controls are kinda unresponsive, also why you put checkpoints if you will reset the level every time you hit a really high score number, the number goes up insanely fast and if i just die like 3 times, i will say goodbye to my precious checkpoints. I think that you need to keep working on it especially the difficulty stuff, but i has potential.

Movement feels wierd, jumps were not same height and something I couldn't move horizontaly. But overall very good for 7h game.
I really liked the lighting up of platform and use of check points, it made for fun progression! Good job :)
Overall, Void Runner is a solid entry.
The collision gets a bit buggy when running into a wall. As others have stated, the double jump feels too unforgiving, mainly because this is a game jam, and not a lot of people are going to try and become perfectionist for your game. So, easing the difficulty would be nice.
I really liked the spark particle effect that is created when the player lands, and also the platforms lighting up on collision. Pretty cool stuff.
Made in 7 hours? Insane. It looks good and plays good man
Thanks
I like what you've done with the lighting, it looks very pretty. However, there is something off about the jumping. It often feels like some jumps just don't go as high as others, and I've died a few times because of this.
i feel like this game could have had more time in the oven
if the game had a more interesting level and the physics weren't as heavy and a little more polished it could be decent but as it is it is a quite basic platformer with a basic but appealing art style
It is probably a little rushed, but as I stated, I had 7 hours to make it.
that doesnt really undo what i said but ok
I agree with what you said
Putting the score on the screen would be a little hard to achieve, seeing as it's only calculated at the end of the game.
(The formula is score/time)
the second jump in the double jump is way too low and the coyote time jump is way to low as well
Interesting visuals, wish double jump worked better.
What's wrong with the doublejump?
the second jump is wayyy to low
Yes, as the other guy said, double jump almost non-existent. Nowhere near the first jump height. Also, if you're doing it by adding force to a rigidbody, a good thing to do is to zero out vertical velocity first. Otherwise if the player was falling, best case is that double jump can slow down falling, not like allow to get more height.
Before you double jump, your velocity is set to zero, but I find with double jumps I find they can be a little OP if you leave them with the height of the first one. The double jump isn't meant to give you that much height, it instead just helps you get a little bit further. I have playtested the entire game to confirm the entire thing is possible.
Jupp, same here: doesn't load. So the "less" part is already perfect ;)
it doesn't seem to be loading for me.
edit: it lives!!!
edit 2: the jump is a bit weird sometimes, and I think that it's probably because the collider for the character is a circle. it works fine, but is a bit weird and takes time to get used to.
also, I like the aesthetic :D
edit 3: me no likey blind jumps a9iusdbho80wbg8a
