What I liked

  • As a terrible artist, I will always be impressed with programmer art that doesn't look like my slop.
  • You kept to black and white. I'm colorblind and some games I've played the I couldn't even see the enemies dealing damage to me.
  • It felt like you put a lot of time and effort into this game.

Suggestions:

  • One thing I noticed immediately, was that the mouse and the button hover behavior weren't synced up position-wise. I had to have the mouse underneath the button for it to recognize the mouse.
  • While you did have sfx for killing enemies, the only feedback that the player receives is that the bullet disappears. As a player, I want to know when I've successfully hit something. Not only does it confirms that, yeah, I did hit it, but its satisfying as well.

Of course my suggestions are just feedback from a player's pov, and maybe some of my points were left out just because of time constraints (I left out things myself that should be in there.) In any case, congratulations on submitting your game!

Thumbnail doesnt do the game justice, story/game gets interesting after leaving the house you'll enter at the start ;-)
Thanks for keeping the black/white theme strict, this pleases me.
Quite some effort went in to content it feels like. well done.

I found the boss fight and outside areas sort of difficult, since the projectiles really blend in with the background making them hard to spot.  The bar sections were probably the most fun because the projectiles and background were clearly different so that made it seem more fair. -Mike
