Really cool game! The music in the end was a wonderful cinematic touch, and the twist was quite fun!
Thank you so much! I'm glad to hear we nailed the ending.
Very good game both artistically and in its puzzle design. Fun, if somewhat annoying, lizard companion and a wonderful credits sequence. Only note is that you are able to reuse the powered off batteries to bypass many of the later platforming sections. It may be good to find a way to force the player to leave behind the old batteries when advancing to the next section.
I appreciate the compliments and the feedback! We might have gone a bit far with the lizards snappy attitude. Preventing players from using batteries from previous sections is a really good idea. Thanks for playing!
Honestly the annoyance comment was mainly a compliment. He grates on you in a charming way.
i love the art, music, puzzles. this whole game is great, i enjoyed playing it very much. epic credit sequence too. i want to skin the stupid lizard alive.
Much obliged! We are happy we managed to create a full package in a week for players to enjoy. I hope the lizard didn't get under your skin too much.
Insanely polished for a week. Nice model, animations, cohesion. People are getting better at game jams. Nicely done.
I'm glad to hear that! It's been a busy week. I have learned alot in the 11 game jams I have participated in. Thanks for playing!
This was a nice little adventure that is super polished and very well done! The Gex standin is funny and I do appreciate that you went through the effort to actually animate his mouth movements when he talks! The ending was very sudden and very thought provoking, it really caught me off guard! This was a great experience, one of my favorites!
Thank you so much from the positive feedback! It was important for us that the lizard had a real presence within the game world with his own animations. I'm glad to hear that to found the story and the ending interesting.
All of the 3d assets were really great to look at. Especially loved the design of the robot.
Here's a vod of me playing your game: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/2372490353?t=01h25m10s
I appreciate the kind words! I had fun making the 3D-models for the game so that means alot to me. I really liked watching your playthrough of the game and your interactions with the lizard. Thanks for playing!
Oh my god that was beautiful. The gameplay and movement felt smooth. The graphics are pretty. The lizard's lines and references are great. The gex, the motorcycle, the plot twist... Mastahpeece!! I loved it!!
Thank you so much! We are really proud of the experience we could deliver to the players during the jam.
Loved it the gex reference was hilarious animations and models were so good and the gameplay matched the theme so well this has got to be a top contender
Much obliged! I'm happy how the 3d-models turned out. Didn't have time to animate the robot so those animations are from Mixamo.com. I'm glad you liked the game, thanks for playing.
Wow, one of the best ones I've played so far. I love a puzzle platformer and the sunlight mechanic here was surprising and well-done. And the little reward at the end was a really nice touch. I could definitely see this being expanded on, nice job!
That means alot to us! We are really proud of what we managed to create during the week.
puzzles r cool and love the gex inspiration
Appreciate it! Thanks for playing.
Puzzles are hard to get right and i think you nailed it, i like the little gex on my back trashtalking me and the credits were cool, the plot twist ending was quite smart and shocking
I appreciate the kind words! The lizard was really fun to make. Thanks for playing.
One of the best entries in my book! Great adherence to the theme, great gameplay, great visuals, nice and tight puzzle platformer that doesn't drag on too long but also doesn't leave you unsatisfied. The mechanic of making the player ration out their jumps was very smart and well implemented. The only thing that left me mad was that the lizard didn't die at the end, I was really hoping for that lol. The ending was really cool though, fun lil twist that caught me off guard and recontextualized a lot of the game for sure. Fantastic work!
Thank you for the comprehensive feedback! I'm happy to hear you enjoyed the game. Yeah, the lizard seems quite polarizing. Hope he didn't get on your nerves too much ;D
Love this - the use of sunlight to recharge your double jump is really creative and fits the theme of the game like a glove. The puzzles were a blast, the lizard was hilarious, and the robot was awesome. Adding a "e to interact" display whenever interaction is possible might help at the beginning! Overall was an awesome time
I'm happy to hear the theme implementation was like Ace Ventura parking a car! The interact-prompt is a good idea. Thanks for the feedback.
Really felt like playing a PS2 classic. For me, the audio bugged for some reason and the lizard spoke with lag, but either way I really enjoyed it! Great game
Appreciate it! I'm glad we could bring back those Playstation 2 vibes. Sorry about the audio bug, I guess the lizard needed some extra time to process his thoughts.
Wow! Amazing job! You did such a great work in only a week thats awesome! Game felt really polished, nicely done
Thanks so much! Nothing like a tight deadline to keep us sharp and slightly sleep-deprived.
Perfect use of the theme, funny voice acting and dialogue (that might get annoying in a longer game, but it's perfect for a short game like this), smooth and simple platforming, great visuals, and even an unexpected vehicle section. This game has it all! All wrapped up in a perfectly paced, short package.
The only thing I might suggest changing is simply adding some sort of particles to indicate the sun is your source of power, for those that don't get the solar panel hat.
Thank you for the kind words! I'm happy you enjoyed everything we had to offer. I tried to add indication to the hat, but coudn't find a good looking way to make it during the jam. Maybe I try to add it later using particles or a shader. Thanks for the suggestion.
This was a really nice 3D platformer. I love the main mechanic, simple but well done! The credits sequence was awesome! And that twist ending??
Glad you enjoyed it. Nothing like a little twist at the end to keep things fresh.
Felt super smooth to control, and the first time the sunlight recharged the double jump was a great 'a-ha' moment!
I'm happy to hear that! Take on me!
I love the lizard dude and the twist ending caught me off guard lmao, nice job!
Thanks for playing! The lizard seems to be very polarizing.
The lizard should've gotten crushed instead of the robot
Ouch! Tough crowd ;D
