the first thing i noticed about this game is how absolutely spectacular the pixel art is. it’s incredible, there isn’t a single part of the game that doesn’t look great! playing through, i really enjoyed the game’s main gimmick. the two vacuum modes made for some very unique platforming! there were a couple points where i actually tried (and succeeded) in using the two modes of the vacuum in combination to skip sections of the level, though that’s definitely not a bad thing (just a speedrun strat, i guess 😛). i did notice, though, that there were a few points where the game expected me to move the mouse around extremely quickly, making the controls a little frustrating. maybe it would feel smoother on controller? i also ran into the softlock that the other people in these comments are talking about, though of course you all already know about it. all in all, outstanding game - VERY polished for something made for a jam! great job!

(also omg gaming grandma real…)

Thank you for the feedback! Having more input around the mouse controls is always super helpful, as we're still always looking for ways to refine it more and make the game feel as good as possible. Something interesting we noticed is that different players already come into the game and try to use the mouse in different ways to do the same thing (some players drag the mouse away when using the push, or try holding the mouse as close to granny as possible, etc...). So we definitely want to try and make this more consistent for all players.

(also I worked on almost all of pixel art, so super happy that you liked it a lot, Thank You!!)

This is a very good game. It’s learning curve was just right, and its mechanics were engaging. It “sucked” me in. Hehehe..

…okay. I’ll show myself out.

I will say that the camera only seems to move when you start a level, and when you enter a new level though. This means that, if you die and your last checkpoint is on another screen, you pretty much lose all sight. I had to restart the game once because of this.

Also, on level 6, there was one air duct that literally would not work for some reason. It might be something on my end, but I had to end my playthrough there for that reason sadly.

Good game. Thanks for sharing.

Feels like a fully fledged game already. Very fun.

Only unfortunate part is that one room with two fans and one doesn't work (pictured in a comment by Jamtonyx below).

Loved the gameplay! Super simple platformer with very strategic controls. I loved how every choice I made took a lot of thought, even if the puzzle was relatively simple. This for sure reminded me a lot of Celeste, and it feels great!

Nice to see Madeline is still just as agile in her old age. I did encounter a glitch. There like a tower with a ceiling and some how granny just disappeared and clicking the mouse just kills her again. Still though. Great work. Phenomenal.

Edit Ok. So it wasn't a softlock. I just put myself like 2 rooms backwards for some reason. I got the the effective end of the game. Yea great work.

This is an amazing game, first of all, I have to say that the sound effects are top notch. My favorite ones are the death sound scream, the dusters, and the bouncing, they are all extremely satisfying and funny. There is also a lot of attention to details, I love how if you hold the click on the menu the character keeps shaking. Regarding the gameplay, this one is extremely fun and well designed, as the mechanics are introduced smartly and the difficulty scales progressively as you advance. It never feels too easy, but not too hard either, it's balance in such a way that it makes the game enjoyable and makes me want to master the mechanics to keep pushing forward. The game has an amazing feel to it and I had a lot of fun playing it, and I'm sure that if this game was ever to be released as a full game, it would be extremely popular in speedruns. However there is one issue I found while playing the game, and it was section that I got stuck at where one of the vents was not activating with the duster, I tried activating it from multiple angles, but could not get it to work. At first I thought that it was a matter of me not being really good at the game, but after checking the other comments I realized that another user had an issue with that same section. Still, I hold my compliments to this game, it's really fun and engaging and I congratulate the team for such an incredible game, I hope more people get to play it because you all deserve it!

This is awesome! The premise, the graphics, the music, the sound effects, the level design, it's all here and all masterfully done. I let out an involuntary cackle the first time I heard granny's death screech on some spikes.

I made it all the way to the last beatable room with the bugged blower per the comments below, I thought I was going to rage quit quite a few times earlier but the game somehow keeps you gripped in by granny's bony fingers.

One of the most mind-blowing parts besides the excellent presentation was how the level design leads you to the next challenge perfectly, adding just enough in each previous checkpoint to help you figure out how to solve the next one while keeping up a constant level of increasing challenge. Swinging the blower back and forth to dash and jetpack is a very satisfying gameplay loop.

This could definitely be a hugely popular speed-running game. It felt like I had paid money for it, it feels so complete. Oh and lastly I have to mention that amazing menu nagivation where granny pushes the buttons for you. Amazing work, what a masterful team behind this game.

Cool game! I really enjoyed playing it, the visuals are absolutely stunning!

Some excellent platforming. This game feels incredibly polished, I forgot I was even playing a game jam game at times. The vibes are so nice, wonderful music! I would love to see this expanded into a full game.

Fantastic work! I was surprised at how well the mechanics kept developing!

I think you've built some really great platforming mechanics here! There simple but really versatile.

Unfortunately I kept getting a bug where after I died I would respawn off screen. After the fourth time I decided to put it down. But I definitely want to play this more after the bugs are sorted out!

Extremely solid controls. I was skeptical at first, but alternating the cursor's position to push and pull turned out to be a pretty fun mechanic - I can see very tight and hard rooms being made from just this mechanic!

I'm, however, stuck in the same room as the commenter few posts below - the fan won't light up no matter what I tried to do :(

The premise for this game is really unique and it's very polished. The character controls are really smooth and you can tell that the levels have been thoroughly designed/tested! I did not run into any major bugs but I did get a little impatient with the timing for respawn.

Nice work!!!

This game has some incredible visuals and very creative ideas for platforming mechanics. I think overall there is a lot of polish, even in the main menu screen, which I really appreciated! I like how far you took this idea and kept it going throughout. I think also it fits the theme super well, and the premise is really funny! Nice work on this.

Bug Log:

I encountered a bug where when I died and the checkpoint wasn't on the screen, I couldn't move the camera to me. Other than that, it ran and played super well!

There's not much more to say. It's dang good. A quicker respawn, maybe some accessibility options (swinging your mouse around so fast ain't easy for all of us!), and make sure the room/camera is roughly centered (because you need to move the mouse a lot it's best to have some significant space to do it, don't make us have only a centimeter of screen to work with). I loved that there was an option to just listen to the music, and especially that the music in the start was in Spanish. That got me hooked. It's a really good game, I hope you guys rank in the top!

Great feedback thank you! We'll definitely adjust the levels to give more space for the mouse, and we have some ideas to make that quick mouse movement easier as well.
EVERY TIME!

SUPER COOL. The idea is very original and I loved controlling the grandma. Great job!!!

This is a really cute concept. Watch out, celeste!

At one point the game bugged for me and I had to restart the level (I fell down  bottomless pit but did not die). But this is really polished and well done. I think it might be nice if the level reloads after death a bit faster.

This was an awesome game. Honestly I was seriously loving this an all the mechanics until this level and the level before. The level before was extremely frustrating and just to lead to this in which it's bugged out that you can't get through. :/ Honestly would be my favourite game this jam until this room. Despite my frustration with these levels this game is insanely good, very funny, great control and awesome level design. My frustration could be seen as good frustration, thank you for this game sincerely.

Yeah, that's where I got to as well.  Tried for a while before I realized that fan didn't work.

This is also where I got stuck. Unfortunate that such a great game has a bug like this :(

Funny and controls great! Loved the artstyle as well. A little buggy when dying. Nice work!
