Interesting concept! I think there's a lot here that could be augmented by providing the player with a bit more feedback, like particles upon bullets impacting enemies, and audio and visual indicators when you take damage. I also feel that the norb mode's usage might be communicated a bit better in-game. Regardless, the core idea is solid and could really shine with some elbow grease. Good work!
Awesome visuals! I kinda said it a lot while playing but I wish the alien corpses stuck around longer so I could just look at the texture work. But the environments were very detailed, and I particularly liked all the mechanical design in the boss room. A shame you didn't get to work on it as much as you wanted, but you got it out and it has more "mode-feel" than a lot of games in the submission haha. I managed to beat the boss too, though I definitely cheesed it. I became a norb master by the end. 馃槫
it was a blast to be with you on the stream, thank you for playing this for as long as you did. It really made my day.
i enjoyed this game a lot. the art style is really great, and the music is kick-ass. pump shotting the enemies is really satisfying, and i like the gimmick. i didn't know when i was getting hit so some indication there would be helpful. super sick game. awesome stuff!
thank you for the kind words. We will take this design forward.
That vaporwave revenant caught my eye right away! I love his look. I enjoyed getting up close and double blasting them with the shotty!
Adrenaline pumping through my veins, loved the colors you used and the pace of the game. People should play this more!!!
pretty cool! the models were very nice, i loved how the enemies looked. the game felt nice to control, though it took me a while to realize that i had to kill the ghosts first since it isn鈥檛 mentioned in the game itself - it made it feel like all of the enemies were just really tanky. the ui not scaling was also a problem for me, since my monitor is bigger than 1920x1080. i鈥檇 love to see more polish added to this game in the future, nice work!
Great work! I really enjoyed the environments and the enemies I found within them. The overall design was really appealing to me and I love the way the game looked. The weapons were also fun to use and I had a great time. Nice job!
A fun boomer shooter-esque game! I enjoyed it a lot, the movement feels smooth and fun. If you plan to keep working on it, some feedback when you get hit would be very useful (screen shake or noise or something).
The idea of killing the ghost first before being able to kill the actual enemy is interesting!
I think it is really fun to go around and blast the aliens. I think the Q made me go fast but I couldn't tell what else it did. Still I had fun playing and I really enjoyed the animations and sound design!
Overall a good implementation of and FPS mode, but I couldn't quite figure out the Q, I never saw any invisible enemies when I popped it. The player movement is quite frustrating, but great job on making a fun feeling point and shoot!
The 80s soundtrack and alien noises were fun. Also being able to shoot the orb was a fun mechanic and the shotgun felt nice. Good job!
Thank you!
Haha great job! Cant go wrong with a game about killing aliens with a shotgun. Also, I think you guys have my favorite name in the game jam. Just rolls right off the tongue.
xD thanks for playing the game!
Great gunplay and visuals. Little bit high mouse sensitivity for my taste.
Thank you for playing!
I really enjoyed the tone of this game and the character designs are unique. There were some cool themes that I felt really tied well together. Also like the way the gun feels. I did feel like it was difficult to dodge enemy projectiles.
Nice work!
Thanks for playing!
The art is really cool, like a cross between something like cruelty squad but in a metriod-ish way. I had a fantastic time. You should definitely polish this up and make a full release, I would pay money for that.
Thank you, we will take the mechanics further in a future game!
not bad! the gun feels pretty good and the movement works pretty well. feels like I'm moving at the right speed all the time. It does feel like I can just die out of nowhere, and instantly resetting me to the start of the game pronounces that feeling a lot. having checkpoints or even just some sound effects attached to the projectiles would go a long way
This game was an exercise to port unity code, so yeah there is a lot of dead code we could not use due to you know, Time. We do plan to make a better experience in our future titles! Thank you for your review.
Cool game. I had some trouble at first though. Norbin Time didn't work right playing on 1440p. It also took me some time to figure out how to take down certain enemies. After I got past those issues, I was able to get into a good flow and it was pretty enjoyable. Nice work.
we are new to godot, need to see how the UI scaling work, didn't really find the time. sorry about that. Thanks for playing the game!
Congrats on learning a new engine! We learned a lot of new things about Godot during this gamejam too.
another game about a dude killin some aliens! I liked the soundtrack and the shotgun felt nice and meaty. Aliens were a little scarier than ours though 馃槀Overall nice job!
Thanks for playing!
Liked the visuals! And the soundtrack was on fire! Great job!
Thank you for playing the game!
