How does your game represent Mode?
The game features a prominent difference between "reality mode" and "transcend reality mode." The former lets you take on the role of various arcade components (paddles, balls, UFO, etc) and the latter allows you to change components and move things around. Completing the game requires an understanding of the interplay of both modes.

Great game, I hope you succeed

Thanks so much!

I got a number from a different screen so there were 3. Then I just set all of them to 9 by controlling them. Then I got another point. Nothing happened except for the first number going back to 0. Was I doing it wrong?

Developer(+1)

Yeah, I'm not completely happy with how that works. You need to put together the number "998", then add another point to it. If you just assemble "999" then it doesn't trigger the next quest

Ahh I see

I want the trash can to be on the title screen. For running the application I would make a video or something so people can more easily play your game.

Thanks for taking a look at my game! You actually can mess around with the title screen. You can enter the words from the leftmost letter

Getting the game running was a bit of a mistery to me, but I did enjoy the game after I figured it out! I loved all the different interactions you could have between the games, but I am not sure if the game ends after *the bomb incident*. I felt very stuck afterwards so I am not sure if that was it, or I just didn't understand what to do next. But all in all I had fun playing the game and solving the puzzles my way!

Yeah, the bomb incident is the end of it. I ran out of time before I could add more stuff. Thanks so much for playing the game and providing feedback!

One thing I would like to add something. This was my first time getting an emulator running and I almost gave up playing the game because I didn’t understand how to do it. I think adding a step by step way of getting your game running (for inexperienced people like me) would be a great way to not scare off anyone who is trying to give this great game a shot!

Did you try ptp_jam_win_1.1.2.zip? I intended that to be the easy(?) way to run it

Submitted(+1)

sorry for the late reply, I downloaded the zip file, opened the exe for the emulator and added the games file to it. Took me a while to understand that the game file can’t be opened by itself without using the emulator first

I somehow couldn't get this to work on MacOS

Developer(+1)

It's a Genesis/Mega Drive rom. You'll need to download the .bin file and run in an emulator (or else run the Jam download in Windows)

As a piece of surrealist media I think this is outstanding. But as a game, I think a little love could improve it a lot. I really had no clue what was going on. Some in game instructions would be nice. The goal of "get 999 points" is a bit daunting. Good work

Developer

Thanks! I'll take that into consideration for the next revision
