How does your game represent Mode?
This is a "Billiard Mode" of the classic minigolf genre.
You can also toggle between two "Modes" of shooting.

We've had a lot of feedback about the theme not being very present, so I want to explain it a bit more here.

During our brainstorming, we agreed that taking a famous video game or sport and making a new game mode for it that changes its rules and how it plays would be a pretty funny way to interpret the theme.

We first thought about existing game genres like Vampire Survivor but weren't very inspired by it and then thought about golf. We had a few ideas and prototyped them, and the one that felt like it could turn into a fun game was this one.

Minigolf, Dictator Mode: Instead of pushing your own ball toward the hole, you have to propel your liege's ball like you're playing a game of pool, to help him score a Hole-In-One and avoid his wrath.

This is an all-around high quality submission. The progression of difficulty, the introduction of new hazards, and the quick-turnaround from failure made for an extremely satisfying playthrough!

A wonderful game. Visuals and audio are both great, and the gameplay loop is satisfying and original. My only (literally the only not great thing in here) gripe is that lobbed mode seems a little shoehorned in. Otherwise, wonderful job, and keep it up!

Very cool game. I think it fits the theme well enough. Very pretty art,  but the sounds were so quiet for me!

We ended up changing the name because we didn't like it much, but we loved the idea and enjoyed implementing it!

Yeah I think a lot of us take "mode" as being able to switch modes, but that's really just one way to go about it. It's how I went about it haha. The "mode" of how we're playing golf here is def different than the norm.

Amazing looking game , level design is on point! i would suggest when you switch the mode for the ball it needs to stay in that mode other than that its really fun.

Good job really great looking game and working really well lobbing the ball is really fun and satisfying. As said before I did not get the mode reference(there was other modes that I missed?)

Hi ! Thanks for the feedback ! For the theme : the game is a whole new game mode to golf

Submitted

Ahah ok cool yeah I was getting that vibe that the mode is that you have to make him win. All those little noises that he make when you don't do it right drives across the point

Not much to say except for very fun and polished game. I honestly don't see mode here that much, but this game delivers in what it's trying to do, so kudos!

Very great look, I'm a fan.  This is one of the more polished games I've played thus far.  Kudos!

Very impressive presentation on this! The pixel arts and sprites are really gorgeous and the mechanic is a really fun twist on mini golf/ putting. I appreciated the amount of levels you packed in, and would love to see this extended with even more modes of golfing. The game felt tight and well polished, and I was drawn in by the cool thumbnail. Nice job!

Very polished look and feel. The gameplay is nice and fun as well. Pretty challenging to complete all of the courses efficiently. Sounds great, looks great, was fun.

Nice take on the theme too!

To be a little nitpickeng, I wished there was a way to cancel a shot, but hey that an awesome entry :)

Awesome game, had a ton of fun with this one :)

Very fun little golf game with great pixel art. Maybe not the most on-theme game though

Beautiful game and level designs, honestly a very unique play on the golfing genre. Loved the art and visuals and the various level were challenging but never felt frustrating. Amazing work!

I had tons of fun, played fully through. I liked the graphics and presentation a lot. The music loop got a bit old halfway through. Couple or one more themes for the background would have kept it fresh. Last level was eaaaasyyyyy compared to some of the earlier. but the difficulty curve was prettyy good otherwise!
Minor gripes only. Everything was "on par"  ;-)
