Can you explain this?

I thought there is no theme

The theme is just the wording. Don't be concerned it's actually universal and wouldn't be to any genre and game play specific so wouldn't effect what you had in mind yet.

Theme is just a term to differentiate it from the Base rules without to many rules being used.
