"Sometimes dead is better."

For this Halloween season, we are going to making tabletop roleplaying games, resources, and adventures exploring the question of what lies beyond death. Vengeance? Madness? Damnation? Oblivion? Only one thing is for certain...HORROR. So welcome to the great hereafter, as we embark together on a journey of mortality and morbidity.

What is a 'Game Jam'?

Game jams are like design sprints. Instead of hacking away at a long term project for years, we narrow our scope to something we can get done in a month. This can be a great exercise in completing a project and building up some personal steam. Make the best thing you can, but don't worry about it being perfect. Focus on having fun and crossing the finish line at the end. 

Some examples of on theme topics: Death, Undeath, Afterlife, Ghosts, Resurrection, Near death experiences, The Underworld, etc.

Guidelines

• Submissions can be anything TTRPG related. Full games, adventures, locations, monsters. You can make something for your favorite game, or system agnostic. As long as it sticks to the theme of death and undeath.
• Submissions must be made during the jam period specifically for the jam. Don't repost old games. 
• Multiple entries are allowed. Nay, encouraged.
• Human made. No AI. Public domain or properly licensed stuff is fine. Give credit where it’s due. No generative AI of any kind for any reason. 
• Any submissions that are bigoted, hateful, or depict sexual violence are strictly forbidden. We have to have SOME standards. Fascists, see yourselves out.
• You can charge whatever you'd like for your project. If charging, please consider leaving some community copies so folks in the jam can see your cool stuff. I’ll also need you to send me a copy so that I can make sure it follows the jam guidelines.

A note on NSFW content: Unfortunately itch.io has been under pressure from puritanical nut jobs and payment processors to censor artistic work that would be labeled NSFW (not safe for work). This includes work that features sexual content, extreme violence, and other sensitive topics. Even more unfortunately, many works that fall under the umbrella of LGBTQIA+ are getting swept up in the shadow ban whether or not they fit the NSFW label. I do not condone censorship of artistic work, and am fully in support of the LBGTQIA+ community. I'm not going to tell you that you can't make such content for this jam. I simply want you to be aware of the risk of having your submission delisted by mechanisms outside of my control.
