I just realized my comment from the other day was not posted, sad :( Awesome game! It was really fun and a nice time. Everything was very polished and had some great puzzles. Also, ducks!!!! ^u^

Thanks for playing! ^u^

second level is to hard XD

This is a spin I haven't seen on this sort of puzzle, and everything's tied together so nicely thematically.

The effort put into undo, restart, and level skipping all made for a nice little jam-puzzling experience.

Developer

Thanks for playing!

I'm glad my efforts have paid off :)

Realy nice Sokoban-style game.

I got a crash on lvl 10, but luckily there's the skip option, so I could just skip those after refresh.
Here's the stack:

error[B0003]: Could not insert a bundle (of type `quark_on_ice::game::player::Player`) for entity 391v215 because it doesn't exist in this World.

Thanks for your feedback! I will try to fix this issue in post jam version

Submitted(+1)

A bit more context - it happened when I finished the lvl or clicked next.

Developer

Oh! I figured it out today, and I will upload the new version after the jam which will fix this bug.

This issue will only occur when you click the next level button and click a duck simultaneously, and the entity will be prematurely despawned.  Another system relies on this entity will try to insert a bundle to an invalid entity, which will cause a crash. So I just have to make sure that the two systems are executed in the right order to fix the bug.

Thanks a lot for your valuable feedback!

I almost got stuck and then I remember that someone played this on a stream and said the ducks could still move after eating. That changed everything. And I just told someone puzzle games weren't my jam, but this puzzle game was my jam! Really good work!

Developer

Thanks for playing! I'm delighted to hear your positive feedback :)

I liked the ducks and the music. I liked how you introduced the broken ice concept. I had trouble with a couple puzzles but still had a good time. Nice work!

Developer

Thank you for playing! I'm glad you enjoyed the game :)

This is amazing! Great game mechanic and so many fun challenging levels! The music only got somewhat annoying after 10min :)

Developer

I'm glad you enjoyed it! If I continue development, I'll definitely consider tweaking the BGM. Thank you for playing <3

How cute is the art style! And the levels are surprisingly tricky (for me haha). Can't.. stop.. feeding.. the ducks...

Developer

Haha, ducks tend to crack the ice if they eat too much

Thank you for playing :)

Awesome puzzle game! Looks so polished

Developer

Thank you for playing <3

There's still a lot of room for improvement in this game, especially considering I think I should create a user-friendly level editor for myself. That way, I can design more interesting levels.

This is a great little game! You should definitely make into something bigger after the jam! The ducks are adorable!

Developer(+1)

Thank you for your kind words! I'm glad you enjoyed it. I'm leaning towards continuing development in the future. By the way, during this Game Jam, I actually watched videos of ducks ice skating!

I’ll definitely keep an eye out for it!

Maybe I'll continue developing this game afterward
