I was a little confused but still, Great job 👍
thank you
if you have any feedback how to make less confusing lemme know
I like the art/color switch to 4 colors being a plot point, which was a very cute way to use the restriction. I love how ridiculous the whole thing is.
I don't like the Boss fight creator's note because it comes off more down-on-yourself than feeling like self-deprecating humor. You made a game that works in your first Game Jam... There's some animation. Platforming that more or less works, and a guy with a clock for a head.
In the end, it's a bizarre game that makes me question WTF did I just play. In a good way.
well yeah I just got busy with life, and I felt lazy so maybe I should have just ended it there. thanks for the feedback
.... The game was very confusing I had no idea what was happening, except that I was platforming, so I understood it, but what were those shift to do stuff and buttons on the right up corner. And the art was very inconsistent and weird.
yeah, I was going to remove the buttons. But, I ran out of time, originally they were supposed to give you power-ups like "an extra heart, invisibility/going through walls, and time freeze" but it took too long to make and it didn't even work when I playtested it. I don't understand what you mean by the art being "very inconsistent" and "weird", because the art change was only because the setting changed to a different dimension, the 4-bit art style, I put this in here because it does the required limitation and makes so the game can be unique (which isn't always a good thing I know) with its different art styles, thank you.
It looks inconsistent, because some places have many differently colored pixels and some places are just the same color for a wide area.
You have a point, sorry about that.
I loved how goofy this is :P I have mixed emotions about it but what I can say is that I had so much fun playing it!
Sadly, the game didnt run at all for me, it starts, gets to a screen with police? and then nothing
oh I know what's happening so I should have made it more clear should have added a cutscene or something but the police are in a time freeze and you can move but they can't.
It freezes a few seconds after I run it :(
do you think might know why or should I just filter thought the code and find out?
I don't really know, when I run it and click on the button that says "Press space to start" q short animation appears then it freezes when 2 police officers show up
Ok, This is supposed to happen, I should make it easier to understand but the police grades are under a time freeze, and you can use the arrow keys to move, if I update this I will add a cutscene where it shows the police getting time frozen. Sorry, for my unclear game.
Yes it worked!
Oh my, what a game!
First of all it's a very chaotic fever dream like experience, which isn't a bad thing! The controls are a bit wonky of course, but for a first game jam, this is absolutely not a bad submission! the game is fun to play, and it's got all the core mechanics for a nice little 2D jump and run.
I'd just like to say, that you probably shouldn't mark the game as playable with every plattform, if you only include an .exe file in the zip, but that's really just a minor detail, that has nothing to do with the actual game.
thanks, in the future i will try to focus more on the controls and game design, but besides that, I agree.
the game looks kind of funky and i like it. it is realy hard to move around tho. good job
thanks for your conductive criticism, and for your complement.
