Thank you for the kind words!

Yea there were some things I just didn't get to due to time that I wish I did (destroy particles, attack animation, etc.).  Sorry you got stuck, the code for dropping blocks is a little basic and despite testing it a whole bunch and never getting stuck, it is possible though unlikely.  I probably should have added a way to restart before you lose or win.  Thanks for the feedback!

Very good. Some music and a bit longer and it could become a real game :)

Thank you!  Yes my original plan was to have more levels and such but unfortunately ran out of time.  I'm still learning Unreal so some mechanics took me a bit.  Still learning my limits.  Thank you for the kind words and feedback though!

Thanks for playing and for the feedback!  My visuals are pretty weak in general because I'm mostly a programmer, something I'm trying to get better at.  I'll give your game a try as well.  Thanks again

  • Theme: The idea is good, but while playing, i didn't feel the "limited space", but good idea though.
  • Audio: Beyond missing a music to make the player less anxious, everything is good.
  • Visuals: I think you choose the models quite right, But the red block was not a good looking visual for it's representation. Also you could added some debris falling at the position of where the blocks were falling.
  • Gameplay: I won the game everytime. Played 5x and win every single one of them. Solid gameplay. i think the red block could give you a bomb which you would have to place on the door with the right mouse click. this would make the game more challenging.

Congratulations on the game!

The only think i don't like about Unreal Engine is that for such a game, you don't need to put my graphics card at 100%. Please learn how to use the engine. Specially how to setup the graphics settings. Unreal by default creates any project with the settings for a AAA game. It is amazing the game you did on it. shows me great knowledge from a engine which in my opnion is very hard to learn, specially the Blueprint.

Cheers.

I'm sorry about the graphics card thing.  This is only my 2nd game using Unreal so I'm not well versed in it yet, which is why I'm doing game jams to get more experience.  I used pretty basic models so I'm surprised that it would be some demanding but maybe there's something I'm doing wrong.

Thank you for the feedback.  There was much more I wanted to do with the game (push/pull mechanic, better music, better models) but I ran out of time unfortunately.

Hey, all good. For a second game as you said, it's pretty fantastic. As i said: you showed me great knowledge on the engine and you should look into learning about the graphics settings. I don't think most of the people realised what i did, but i'll always be honest.

Cheers and keep up with the good work!

Thanks alot!  And yes appreciate the honesty.

The lack of a soundtrack and dark environment give off a very stressful and forboding atmosphere, which was unfortunatly wasted by the game's difficulty. Had the game been more difficult (exit has more health or rocks fall quicker/more plentiful) it would have been a stressful experience. Overall a fun idea with the theme and the gameplay.

Thank your for playing and for the feedback!
Yea I'll be honest I was worried about the difficulty.  I had a hard time balancing out the rock spawns and damage and such.  And I had to rush some of the pieces of this due to running out of time.  But I greatly appreciate your feedback.  With every game jam I'll improve :-)
