Gorgeous visuals and interesting storytelling! I really wish it had some music and sfx, especially for things like the keycard doors sliding open.

The laser turrets firing instantly felt "unfair," but the difficulty was seemingly designed around that, so it didn't really matter.

awesome dithering effects!!!! definitely would be elevated a TON with an ambient background music + some sound design! It's so juicy but really needs the sound to sell it -- and gameplay wise the audio would have helped a lot with enemy readability. If you aren't paying close attention you can miss them attacking you without a sound cue to help.

I ended up playing very stealthily to beat it, which felt a bit cheesy, but it was really difficult to face  the enemies in a direct firefight. But using the walls to bounce the shock bombs was really fun! I had a blast playing, thank you

Thanks for playing, the recording of your session is really invaluable!! we got ton of feedback from watching the video. We wanted to add sound and sfx so much but ran out of time. The turret's design can definitely use some improvements, i have been thinking a longer de-aggro range and a windup before they start shooting would be nice additions and maybe also making them visible from further away. Them being almost unfair to fight head on is intentional and the bombs bounce to give you ways to counter attack, and the shock bolts also do continuous damage to things they hit even if you miss your aim with the bounce. Happy to see that you enjoyed it!

Wow! The lighting effect is really immersive and I loved playing golf with the shock grenades. Even the little note about unimplemented feature was a cool touch.

the art looks amazing! the noise shader is very interesting, though it's kinda weird that it doesn't affect the player even a little bit

i wouldn't recommend you start off with a wall of text though, maybe split it up into multiple dialogue bits. i've got a few nitpicks about the wall though: 1. possessive it is its, not it's,  2. you get 1 bit of colour information, not 2

it'd be nice if the camera didn't keep the player strictly centered, it could look ahead by a bit to make it feel more lively

it's weird that when you stand on the charge cell thingies you get charged constantly even at full charge

maybe add a warning when you press R to teleport to the start

the shadows let you see a little bit through closed doors which is kinda weird

a bit strange that you keep your items when you die, wouldn't you lose them?

you can also just camp outside the turrets' range to hit attack them, it would make more sense if they locked onto you once you hit them if they have line of sight

it would also be nice if the map was less linear, though i can see how that's out of scope for a jam game

i liked it a lot! the story is pretty intriguing and it looks amazing

Thanks for playing and really appreciate the detailed feedback! Most of the things mentioned were missed polish due to lack of time but some were deliberate decisions. I wanted to have camera smoothing on the player but the way it worked with the shader resulted in a lot of motion sickness inducing motion so it was skipped. Similarly the player always being lit was to ensure you could always focus on the player and it never got lost in the noise. I also didn't want players to run through the entire level again on a retry so you retain your keys and shortcuts remain open. Glad that you gave it a try and liked it!

Loved the look of the game and the bankshots you could pull off. shame you ran out of time for audio, as the rest of the game is a banger. Nice work

WOAAAHHH the artstyle, the shades and the visuals were amazing!! the gameplay i think that is understandable even if it could be better since i get lost a few times, but i miss the audio :( i think it could elevate the game even more, also its nice to have paragraphs of story but mayybe there are too many of them and possibly can bore some players (its not necessarily bad but keep an eye on that! )

The visuals really caught my attention, the shader looks amazing. The atmosphere is definitely the strongest part of the game, and it would be even better with audio. The combat felt a bit strange, though. I didn’t fully understand how the turrets were attacking me, and I ended up destroying them from far away even when they weren’t visible. I also got lost on the map a few times, but it felt nice exploring. Good work!

Developer

The turrets can definitely use some more polish in their mechanics and be more visible, but they were designed to be slightly unfair, to encourage bouncing the grenades and fighting more stealthy. Thanks for playing, glad you liked it!

Greate game!

Really creative to have the "two colors" actually have an explanation in-game.

So awesome! Id love to see this game expanded!

Awesome game!

I managed to get to the end, and I'd love to see more. Really fluid player movement, and playing 8-ball to kill turrets around corners was very satisfying.  The visual style is very eerie and fits the gameplay.

Would really benefit from audio and gamepad support though!

A solid entry.

Also please play my game! <3

Thank you for playing! We ran out of time at the end so couldn't add the audio and some other things but glad you enjoyed it :)

Really coll art and design, i really miss some musics, honestly, i restart 2 times and read the page, and like, i didn't have any idea about what i have to make, i walk for the map for like, 5 minutes, trying to found something and i never found it, i think that really need a better introduction and tutorial about the mecanics, this ended up preventing me from playing, but I thought the visuals and introduction were well done. It just really needs to be clearer to the player what needs to be done to progress. I would really like to play again, understanding that, great job!

Developer

Thanks for playing our game and for the feedback! We wanted to do more playtesting but really ran out of time near the end. Which part did you get stuck at? If it's right after opening the first gate (the "docks airlock") then you should go to the center of the big room right after the gate and tab through all the text for the interaction and you will get the weapon. Hope you give it another try!
