I really like the concept, but there should be promoting option also, when you get to the edge with a pawn
Nice idea, I'm missing some features from chess.com, however it still must have been challenging to create chess AI. Congrats! ;)
Cool concept! Would have loved the ability to make new funky paths (like that of the knight) for all the pieces.

I had a similar idea like this one but i changed my mind later. I think it'd be more challenging if you could change the rules when you get a certain score and it applies to the a.i opponent as well. It's a great job anyway!
From a design perspective, the rule changes should apply to all opponents. But apparently there are some bugs with the AI... Fixing ;>

I am not sure why but the enemy AI gets stuck from time to time.
The concept of enabling/disabling the rules of chess is cool. I can save my piece by just disabling the movement rule of the enemy pieces :)
Would love to see some feedback though, some sound, some animation, something.
