game froze right here and nothing happened after
very good game tho i enjoyed it a lot. some minor nitpicks:
I'm sorry about your freeze, friend. I didn't have time to debug because of the submission deadline.
I'm happy to hear you enjoyed the game though!
-I was gonna add a tutorial to show you how to equip it, but I didn't have time. The next patch that I'll post in a few days will have it, as well as "empty slot" icons visually depicting the gear categories
-I want to add tooltips when you hover over them that explain them, but I haven't gotten to that yet
-I'll be sure to move it up a bit so it doesn't clip through the floor as much
-I definitely want to add auto-targeting, especially considering how manually aiming an AoE attack while trying to dodge a bunch of bullets and skeletons sounds like an absolute nightmare on a controller.
Also, as for the freeze, was it a complete freeze where nothing moved, or were the animations just sort of stuck in a loop? Because I'm not sure what would cause the former, but I've already figured how what causes the latter.
Really dig the gameplay a lot, it feels awkward having to move the fingers from WASD to select the 1,2,3 abilities
Thanks for playing my demo, I'm glad you like it!
The keys should be rebindable if you want to do that. Any tip on good places the alternate set of buttons? Maybe Middle Mouse Button, Mouse Button 4 and Mouse Button 5? Or something like C,V,B, where your thumb kinda is?
Oh I didn't seee they were rebindable, c,v,b sounds fine, I was thinking also like pressing ctrl or shift and make a skill wheel appear maybe
This is an interesting one, but sadly i reach the underground grabbed the ribbon and didn't know what to do next, could run this at 30fps with my old laptop.- I found the screen shaking per hit is annoying while firing a corridor full of enemies- I feel that the camera a little bit too zoomed in, bullet where still slow tho.- AI need better path finding, enemies where stuck on the wall all the time- I'm not sure that a Bullet Hell with Isometric could work, i found myself confused on the perspective while dodging, maybe is just me.overall interesting project i hope to see a more polished demo the next DD
Thank you for playing my demo! I had to rush a lot of things so I wouldn't miss another demo day, so I'll try to fix a lot of the issues in the coming few days. Getting the ribbon is supposed to be followed by a tutorial on how to equip gear, but I didn't have time to implement it in time. Putting on the ribbon triggers the next encounter.
-I'll be sure to add a screenshake slider/toggle, and also reduce the default screenshake a bit. Sometimes you sort of just get desensitized to some aspects of your own game because you've tested it so much, you know?
-Buju suggested adding manual zoom-in/out function into the game, so I think I'll do something like that
-I actually sort of just forgot to generate the pathfinding graph for the level, whoops. It's still not perfect after that though, so I'll work on improving it too.
-I'm not sure anything about my game could work tbh, but finding out is part of the journey. The shift key shows your hitbox like in Touhou games, which should help. If you want I could maybe add an option to have the hitbox always be visible
Also, would you mind giving me the specs of your laptop?

Sorry about the rough state the demo's in guys, I just didn't want another demo day to go by with nodemo. I'll patch it up later but now I need sleep.
